On Wed. August 13, 2003, State Senator Rodney Ellis, one of two African-American senators now in New Mexico, was interviewed by KLIF (Dallas) host Greg Knapp. Sen. Ellis, among other things, said that fines levied by GOP senators amounted to a "poll tax". Ellis tells Knapp several times to "shut up", and finally hangs up on Knapp. One post-interview caller to Knapp's show identified herself as an independent, who, after hearing the interview, says she will be voting a straight republican ticket in the future.

I heard the interview live and Ellis was a rude arrogant jerk. He kept talking on and on and when Greg would try to ask him a question, he would tell him to shut up and let him talk. Basically Ellis kept repeating the same Dim talking points....totally disgusting. When Greg caught him in a lie he said he had to go and would not continue the conversation. How this piece of crap gets re-elected is beyond me......

How he gets reelected is a deep insight into the lack of character or integrity of his constituents. He represents them well because he is exactly what they want in a representative: A rude, obnoxious, racist jerk willing to metaphorically rape and pillage the rest of the state to get what he wants.

Somebody who listens to Knapp's show should call the station and ask them what the demographics are for that time slot; usually the sales office can tell you those figures. Once you find that out - ask them what percentage the woman caller represents within that demographic. That number will tell you how many others (who didn't call) will also be voting a straight repub ticket in the next election. This is great news - just great news!!
