BIG UPDATE!!!...
Samantha held Layla today for the first time!.on her 5 weeks birthday!...for 3 precious hours. She did hold her for seconds before the surgery, but today, she HELD her baby. The baby did wonderful while she was being held, and they are hoping that this will help Layla on her road to thriving better. She is now taking sips of mommy milk 4 times a day and is 1 oz over her birth weight. You sure can't say this little one isn't tough!
To ALL of you who continue to be here, to pray for her, for her family and for those who care for her medically, we thank you. Layla's grandma is reading the posts and they affect her the way the ones did for us with Logan. The love that is being shown to this little infant is beyond any words to express their gratitude.
Please keep the prayer coming.. things may be looking up.

Oh!!! Wonderful news! How precious it is to be able to hold your baby, ‘specially one as special as Layla. This is the best therapy for both of them. Prayers continue for this new little one.

That IS a big update!!!

That will be powerful “medicine” for both of them, just to feel their love coursing through each other. That’s necessary stuff! Hope little Layla’s daddy gets in on this baby love stuff too. : )

Praying for the complete healing and well-being of this precious baby and this little family. Above all, may God continue to envelop them in His loving providential care and grant all that is best for each of them according to His Holy Will.
