If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious
and this is her reply
A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years
but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

Logan is too precious. Prayers of Thanks that he is doing so well.
My day was made special upon seeing these pictures. I'd been away from the computer for a few days, and will be away for a few days more. So what a wonderful treat to see this little man. :o)
BTW, COB1, are you the Uncle? I noticed you had the pics?
:o)
God Bless you all.
Thanks for the ping Tonkin!!
To: Vets_Husband_and_Wife
"BTW, COB1, are you the Uncle?" That's probably confusing a lot of people.
No, I'm not the Uncle by blood, only by the desire to be a part of this little miracle's life.
I made the Web page for him so his Nana sends me the pics to post on it.
To: TexasCowboy
Not confusing at all. Who wouldn't "adopt" that little guy!!
:o)
Way cool of you!!
Tell Nana hello...and God Bless for both of us, K?
Thanks for the pics.. like I said.. it MADE my day!!
To: TexasCowboy

"just want to take a moment to warmly thank you two gentlemen for all you have done for the "Texas Termite".." I have to tell you a story, Dolly, from my perspective. I'll let Tonk speak for himself.
I have drifted away from God so many times that I've lost count, but His infinite love has always pulled me back.
The "getting ready" to find the answer on my knees has always been a painful experience.
This time was no different.
The night we almost lost our baby afer his hernia surgery I was on my knees pleading with God through the night, along with so many people on this forum.
With the morning light I got the call that he was doing better, and I knew that God had answered our prayers.
We all pray for a closer walk with Him, and I've found the path once again.
A lady on another thread mentioned that she wasn't surprised that I had gone to the rescue of this little baby, but, you see, I didn't rescue this little baby.
He rescued me.

"I didn't rescue this little baby.
He rescued me. "
Well said Uncle TC
I have mentioned many times on this thread how TT helped "resore" my faith.

BG, look what you've gone and done now.
You've got a very young freeper threatening you that you'll have to walk from the airport when you come to Texas. It never ceases to amaze me the trouble you get into. Also notice you haven't had an answer for that one yet.
TT, sweet dreams. I am delighted you look so happy and healthy. God bless your family.

Thank you so much, Tonk.
It was a very good day - cleared by the surgeon - have a date next Thursday for a dressing change, and begin "Operation Two Liters" on Monday the 10th - Marine Corps Birthday, as it so happens.
Picked up the civilian Rx to take to the VA in Augusta, and was pleasantly surprised when things went smoothly.
Had to go to Triage as a 'nonscheduled" patient, but instead of dozens waiting and about a 4-hour nightmare, there were only 3 persons waiting.
Was triaged, and then seen by a Triage Physician - who typed in the new Rx into the computer and said to go around and pick it up!!
That was so wonderful to know the new law is indeed in effect!
Incidentallly, there was this week passed funding for eight VA Medical Centers in the nation to be upgraded, and Augusta is one of them.
While I no longer will be seen in Nephrology and Endocrinology with this new development, I have a great new physician in Clinic "D" to whom I will go just about every 6 months to keep my place in the System and continue to order all my medications.
Are you receiving any better care yet?
I'm fortunate to be just 45 miles from Augusta.
TC, glad you were able to rustle up two tin cans and a string down there..:))
