Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Hi Tonkin!

That's a real "purity" card for Uncle TC's birthday! Thank you very much for helping me with it. My Uncle TC wears real big and handsome western hats....And the nicest boots some people have ever seen!

I'll be so happy to see Uncle TC today! Mommy says since I'm in the "big kids" room now that he can hold me for a very long time. It's gonna be an extra special day for TC and me. I'm gonna smile a lot at him for his birthday present!! And probably make some funny faces too. I love to make Uncle TC, Mommy and my Nana laugh and smile. It even tickles my tummy too!!!

I know I'm getting better because of all of the prayers that my Freeper Family has prayed for me... and my other little friends who need God's help too. Thank you all.

Mr. JimRob is so nice to keep this thread running for so long. And my Uncle TC had such a great idea about making a pledge to FR for thanksgiving. That really made my Mommy and Nana cry with happiness that he would do that in my name and support FR at the same time.

Tonkin, please tell everyone that I'll always be their little Termite and that updates on me will be sent for as long as they're interested. Mommy says I still have a long way to go before she doesn't have to worry about me. I still have some kinda valve that has to close in my heart and big tests for me as I get older. But most of all, please thank everyone for me for their prayers and happiness for me and my family.

IT has taken me a while to dry my eyes and say THANK YOU to everyone that has PRAYED, laughed, cried and shown the amount of compassion that you ALL have for my family.

I have spent hours reading the beautiful prayers, the excitement, the sadness and triumph each day with Logan and his "baby steps".

You all have been a blessing to Logan and also to my sister Beth and my Mom...

In my life I have never seen a little guy draw so many people together. I hope that he will understand one day all the love and be able to "pay-it-forward". With all the love and prayers that been bestowed upon him, he surely has great things in his future!

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for another graduation day for precious baby ... how delightful that he is strong enough to be with other babies ... may the wonder of infant sounds and the busyness of the staff, be an enchantment to him, for his world has been sheltered. We thank You, Lord, for protecting and providing for him these many weeks, and we continue to call upon Your tender care for this child. Continue to be the breath that he takes, the warmth of his blood, the growth and strength of his body, the beat of his heart, and his Redeemer. Looks like you've got the most marvelous job ... spoiling your nephew.
