We're getting a lot of them in Arizona, too. What they can sell a dumpy California house for will buy a substantial estate here, so home builders are raking in a fortune. On the othe hnd, we worry about Californians changing our political climate.

Some lib friends of mine abandoned Taxifornia months ago. They keep saying they'll return once the state is stable again. I'm just aching for the chance to tell them it was "saved" by a Conservative.

I've been going to church from time-to-time up in a fast-growing town in Washington for the past couple of months. Every week, another youngish couple stands up and announces that they just moved into town and will be joining the church. The Rector invariably askes them, "And where in California are you moving from?" It's always good for a laugh, and the youngish couple always answers something like "Fresno".
