Dick Morris will be on O'Reilly's TV show tonight expanding on his prediction that "Arnold will fade like a pretty girl at the door." Morris thinks many more Dems will enter the race. He aslo says that political amatuers have no business running for office.

This is wishful thinking on Dick's part, and there is a very important, alarming (for Morris) message behind what he is saying.

If political candidates like Arnold Schwarznegger, Jerry Springer, and Jesse Ventura become more commonplace, then there will no longer be any need for campaign managers or political pundits. Political campaigns will be run completely by promoters in the entertainment industry.

Nothing drives this point home more clearly than Al Sharpton's candidacy. If Al Sharpton became a clownish boxing promoter and Don King became a Democratic candidate for the White House, nobody would even notice the difference.

This is interesting. Arnold will draw so many different people that no one can decipher today. But I am under the feeling as it was under the primary that Arnold is a Riodian. He didn't win. I do not think that the Republicans will totally support him. He's a total RINO. I'm staying with McClintock all of the way. BTW I do not care who wins this. Their job is going to be unmanagable due to Gov Dufus's mismanagement. IMO as a true conservative I can not in good consciences let a good man like McClintock get hung out.

I'm sorry, but this comment toasts me: this country was founded on principles that included the phrase "...of the people, by the people...".

Professional politicians -- and like Morris, their handlers -- have destroyed the faith we citizens had in the government. I would personally prefer that NO ONE be entitled to sit in any elected office for more than a single term: that would eliminate such assinine comments from pundits like Dick Morris and would return Government to the people.
