The untra-lib modernist should be proud and rejoice at this. It makes the Christian heart sink, but might just spur real Christians to fight for the truth of the Gospel against the onslaughts of the depraved.

You got that right!
Welcome to the Episcopal ICU.
At the end of the ward is the mainstream church.

Been lurking a long time. Just logged from my son's computer. Maybe the Episcopalians read these passages in the Bible:
Leviticus 11:10: And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you
Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind, it is abomination.
Note the use of the same description "abomination." Ergo Homosexuality according to the Bible is no worse than eating a shrimp cocktail or a catfish platter. Where am I wrong?

Absolutely disgusting and proof that The Anglicans are not Christians.Absolutely proof that you don't know the first thing about Anglicans. If you did, you would know that a large portion of them are Evangelical, and another large portion are Orthodox Anglo-Catholic. What you are seeing in Minnesota is only one part of the world-wide Anglican communion.

There is a viable option for all orthodox Anglicans who want to maintain the historic worship, doctrine, and discipline of the Anglican tradition - and that is the Reformed Episcopal Church. They have 100% orthodox and conservative bishops and accept the Bible as their ultimate authority, as well as affirming the Creeds, the first four ecumenical councils, and the Thirty-Nine Articles. Anyone who is looking for an orthodox Anglican home in the U.S. should check them out.

Time for true believers in the Episcopal Church to find another Christian Denomination to join.

Can you imagine if this sort of scandal would have broken out in the Catholic Church... (Inappropriate touching of a parishoner by a bishop to be...) the media would be howling.
But since its an openly gay episcopalian (sp?), I guess it is o.k.
I just don't understand it anymore.
Our decon left the episcopile church because he could see where it was heading.

I think your reading of this law is a bit off.
And all that have not fins and scales...shall be an abomination unto you.
Eating squid would be unlawful as would homosexuality.

Yes, I think this decision will be the catalyst for a mass exodus from their church.

Actually Robinson isn't the 1st openly gay Episcopal Bishop.
Bishop Otis Charles of Utah came out after he retired and left his wife.

There are other candidates which the Episcopal Charch should consider elevating to Bishopric ...

In our community the libs tried to take the church away from a conservative church that was leaveing the Episcopal fold. Lawsuits followd and the little conservative church got its building back....and they are growing!!

because of your reference to Jude, and because I couldn't understand all of the verse you posted (it is olde elglish - King James I suspect)_ I looked at it in a more modern translation.
You couldn't have picked a better passage.

This decision will rock the foundations of the Episcopalian Church as it would any long established church. However, has our society been so compromised by secular ideology that most will accept this as "the way things have become".
