"So the message is, stop beating elephants and start beating women? Oh, and boycott Thailand?"
No, I read the message as
Stop beating elephants and start beating PETA protesters.

I tell her that for my birthday, I want the dancing green chick, from the original (very first) Star Trek w/ Captain Pike. Hmmm . . . have you seen her lately? I mean, it's been what? almost 40 years?

The elephants I saw there looked well fed, pampered, even.
Hauling around tourists is a lot easier than hauling around logs weighing a LOT more.
PETA needs to stick it's arrogant head in the nearest . . . welll, anyway . . .

Probably not! And be careful cause if she finds out you are even considering it you might end up in shackles for punishment!
Naw...she probably try to same some witty like, "Tomorrow morning have your lawyer call my lawyer".

"What in this ad motivates you to send money to an animal rights organization?"Your being rational. You gotta feel! Dive out onto a busy highway and then attempt an answer to that question.

I'm wondering how much PETA celebrities even care about animals or how much they're just looking for another opportunity bo be exhibitionists.

And, posing nude and in shackles is suppose to help elephants how?Well, I dunno 'bout you, but since dead posted that picture, I have not mistreated ONE Thai elephant (do NOT, however, ask me about the Indian elephants...)

Afghan girl power ... members of Afghan group, Burqa Band, pose in front of the ruins of Kabul.#@%@^#$@ commie journalists. Ruins? That might not be the most specialest place in the world to reside, but from that photo it looks like most of the buildings are intact. They will never stop telling us how bad things are in Afghanistan, even though it directly conflicts with reality.

Yeah, but what if the point is to get donations to your organization?Considering the picture, I think donations will mostly consist of sweaty one-dollar bills....

Honestly, do the people at PETA honestly believe that somebody would look at this picture and think, "I've got to do something about cruelty to elephants in Thailand?" That's not the objective. The objective is to get more people to make monetary donations to PETA. The elephants be damned.

And, posing nude and in shackles is suppose to help elephants how? You misunderstand. It's not supposed to help elephants. It's supposed to help PETA raise money. Do you know how much a latté at Starbucks runs nowadays?
