I was out of town for a few days, and could barely get any coverage of this story at all. Let me guess, the Houston Chronicle has already run an editorial in support of this action...
This thread has more info than another one I was checking out. Have not read all of this thread so this may be a repeat. I have the list of absent senators from the legislative journel:

PS: I couldn't find this info just flipping through the Houston Chronicle. Dallas paper wanted me to register -blah on that.

Absent:Barrientos, Bivins, Deuell, Ellis, Gallegos, Hinojosa, Lucio, Madla, Shapleigh, Van de Putte, West, Whitmire, Zaffirini.
The President announced that the roll call reflected the lack of a quorum.
