Frum, from what I have seen, is an intellectual joke. And Novak isn't? He traffics more in political gossip than in hard, intellectual, analysis and comment.
Novak does not pretend to be a profound intellectual. He is a newsman and journalist, with a very good reputation for integrity. And while I sometimes disagree with him, I have never heard him set out to smear other Conservatives, or anyone else for that matter.
