reports coming in now are saying that a tourist triped and spilled a glass of water on a Frenchie. Witnesses say the Frog immediatley began melting and emitting billowing clouds of smoke. the Frog was heard screaming "I'm Melting, I'm Melting, what have you done to my beautiful unwashedness. Oh what a world what a world"

Good post. I got flamed for making a joke about a dead cat the other day. The Eiffel Tower is on fire and that's apparently hilarious. Strange days!
It looks like there aren't any casualties fortunately.

I just heard on the radio that it's under control. The fire was not in an area where tourist visit.

Built in 1889, I think.

Americans voluntarily spending their money in FRANCE. *shrug*
They should be spending their money in San Diego County/Orange Coutny/Riverside County in good ole sunny Southern California. There is so much to do and see in just San Diego alone, it would take you a month or more!

I would be as distressed to see the Eiffel Tower destroyed I'm thinking trash can fire, or the equivalent.

How nice of the French to light the Eiffel for my birthday!
Cheers! CC :p

That would bother me too. Ask the idiot why France wants us in Liberia then? (I believe they urged us to go in, but I may be wrong. The UN did.)

There are two buildings that don't belong in Paris. La Tour Montparnasse is one, and the Eiffel Tower is the other. But this isn't the way to go about getting rid of it. I sincerely hope there were no injuries.
Remember what Jules Verne said about the tower. He hated the damn thing, but said that the restaurant on the first floor was his favorite in all of Paris. Why? When he dined there, he had a beautiful view of Paris, but couldn't see the tower.

Ref post 92.
My thoughts exactly, and thank you for having the courage of saying it.

LOL - just read your post. Funny - we both are enjoying the worldwide celebrations of our birthday today!

Haha - that's quite funny about Jules Verne. By the way, when I said "I got flamed for making a joke about a dead cat the other day" that was probably an unfortunate choice of words...

The Offal Tower on fire. Now there's one that didn't make it into your new book -- a copy of which I shall obtain ASAP.
Your internet "mega-trailer" was a great read in its own right. Thanks again for your advice re: self-publishing. I obtained the books you recommended and am in the process of doing as they advise.
All the best, Senor' Hemingway.....

They just confirmed that on Fox. It's 114 years old. Yikes.

If we can't joke about disturbing events on the internet, where CAN we joke about them?Nowhere.
And you can't think about the jokes, either.
AH AH AH! Stop it! That wasn't funny!

That's right, it's so ugly! I can't see why people like it. Whatever!
