With the G8 Summit coming, I am sure the Governor can work through those problems. You still live St. Simons Island, my grandparents move from there because of the local property taxes.
Is the village/pier area still a nice place?

I knew I forgot something. I forgot to mention the snakes, thanks for reminding me.

Listen..I've played a few rounds of golf on the island...you can "repel invaders" with the errant shots of a host of golfers..That's a good one, neighbor, and about the plain truth!

Compared to where?

Hopefully, the vegans will all go to Savannah. That way, Brunswick, St. Simons, Jekyll etc. will all be protester free. Maybe our billboards will repell the varmints- about the first thing you see at the I-95 exit is a huge sign for
"Sonny's Real Pit Bar-B-Q"

We could always give the protesters heartattacks by feeding them Porkchop Samwichs from Willy's Wenny-Wagon.

Paul, We are in the South End of Brunswick now, and the damned taxes here are about to drive us into the next county... quadrupled since we moved here. My Mom sold the old beach house in 1991, and last I recall her taxes were about $3,500 a year- it was a factor in her selling, since she was living off Social Insecurity and a little interest on CD's.

"Savannah looks like our only option," said an infoshop.org messager using the name Carlo Tesca. "And it's actually not that bad of an option, too." Georgia isn't Switzerland. I'd like to see the cops open up on them like they did on the California docks leading up to Operation Iraqi Freedom. Maybe that's why Bush picked a southern state...he knows they won't put up with the nonsense.

"her taxes were about $3,500 a year"
So that's how we deal with the poor nowadays? Taxing them to the next county? Might that be the reason there's so little affordable housing? And liberals consider themselves champions of the poor? Aren't they behind the high taxes? Is there something wrong here?

My grandparents sold their house on the island in 1992 (I think) and moved to where my family lives.

(sarcasm) But if that is done, no lessons will be taught.

Someone recently posted here on FR that the crime rate in Savannah is very high and its getting worse. Just making a comment...
To: proudofthesouth
Okay.

a southern state...he knows they won't put up with the nonsense. Well, on the up side, all this has made it very easy for me to decide on how to allocate my unit's scarce training hours over the coming months.

Maybe we don't like sending traffic to a liberal website, thus allowing them to pad their viewership numbers.

(dripping sarcasm) Okay next time I'll link to the Washington Post or New York Times.(sarsacm off)
One on reason I found that article funny was because it was deadpanning the protesters statements and ideas.
To: Paul C. Jesup
Oh, sure....I do agree the article's great.
I saw that I was piling on when I noticed you had a few answers already. Another reason we try and post articles is because they have a bad habit of changing with the whims of the liberal editors, and we have to keep an ey on them every minute.
