He's talking to American leadership, but he is clearly sending a message to France and Germany.
Basically, its "Cut the crap and do the right thing."

Don't give up on Europe. Blech!
To: BonnieJ
Praise "New Europe" is Rummyesque fashion! And dissing the likes of Chirac :)
To: carton253
Exactly - it is the resolve of Bush and Blair during this entire ordeal that convinces me that they are not lying and never have been.
Good for Blair: admitting to European Anti-Americanism.
To: visualops
I didn't care much for Blair when Clinton was around but he's put both oars in the water being with us in the War on Terror all the way.
To: ztiworoh
He really looked like he was taking a nap!
To: Mo1
I'm guessing "Peach"!
I'm first - right? ;-)

We can't give up on Europe. If current trends continue, Europe will sooner rather than later be the new front on the war on terror.

None of the networks are carrying it, it's only on cable. So most won't even know what he said, they'll just over look it on the "evening news" and all the rest.
Yes, and you can bet he "evening news" shows will just say that he offered no specific proof to back up President Bush's statements in the state of the union address about Uranium from Africa.
I hope he really lays out some details on that, but I'm not holding my breath yet.
I wish I could get it live here. At least I've got C-SPAN recording on the VCR at home.

Yes... if this wasn't a desperate fight... Tony Blair would have stopped. He has a 1/4" from going over the edge... and he continued to fight for the right thing.
