This seems to have been the first "mainstream" media attack on the Bush Administration regarding the Sixteen Words. I post it both for the sake of historical preservation, and in the hopes that someone here may be able to use the data within to trace how the RATS and the rest of the news media twisted and distorted he truth to create the giant nonevent that has the whole press corps salivating today.

Who lied to the President? That is what I want to know. He should ask for their head on a platter.

So 16-words were required to make 17 UN resolutions enforceable and the subsequent removal of a man who was involved with murder, toture, rape and known use of WMD happen.
In eight years of the Clinton Presidency, we endured lie after lie from Clinton, his lawyer wife, and the entire political party they represented in tow.
Interestingly enough, approximately 38% of the Americans polled on this issue think it is a important issue, about the same amount consistently shown by all polls to be against Bush no matter....
One untruth uttered by a man whose complete tenure as president is marked by nothing but dignity, honor and restraint towards his political rivals - this may well change and the democrats understand that they will have underestimated this President when he uses the tools at his disposal that the Clintons wielded daily against democrats. It is not like a president has not already been made by the Clinton Administration for dirty tricks against rivals.

This isn't going to last into August. Remember all the other "potential Watergates" they have dreamed up. This one is just as short-lived. A year ago it was "Bush knew about Sept. 11th". That one disappeared, as they ALL have.

The left is going to push this thing, wasting their resources, and at the end of the day, most people will say "So what?" They tried to make something of Iran-Contra and the putative "October Surprise", and in the end it amounted to a great deal of nothing.

This is the reality inspite of a total attemp to electronically lynch our president by the left and their cohorts claiming to be conservatives as you posted:

I rolled thru the list to see if we had a good category but nothing seemed good to me. I have been using the Bush Doctrine since all this media firestorm was about Bush and the Premption Doctrine etc!
but I'll ask the others playing librarians.

Good post except that this is not an untruth from the President. There was absolutely nothing untruthful in that sentence he uttered during his speech, not one word. If the media/rats (one in the same) keep this up, they will end up the fools before it is over. President Bush did not lie, and what we did in Iraq and are still doing there was justified, needed, and none of the rest of the frigging worlds business. It does however, appear that someone set up the President. This is no mistake on anyone's part. This is like how Gore had the phone banks set up in Florida before the election.

Yes, correct. I beleive the President and not his 38% democrat detractors who will move on to another issue to attack with once this passes!
