Q One question for you both. Do you believe that there is a link between Saddam Hussein, a direct link, and the men who attacked on September the 11th?
THE PRESIDENT: I can't make that claim.

You do realize that, by all standards, neither of us have yet posted proof to back up what we believe are facts, right?
To: FascistSlayer
You made the claim. Just put fourth your "source" and we'll bat it around. You may by surprised by what you can learn here. But stop playing games.

Hey, you need to get hot and start backing up the claims you've made not dick dance with everybody here!
To: cwboelter
This is, in fact, what I am doing. Did you see my request as to sources you would accept?
To: FascistSlayer
You're a liar.
And you avoided my question to you which is the subject of your post. Idiot. No surprise you feel about President Bush as you do.
To: FascistSlayer
Here, we'll get you started....
Heck, they can't even run their self-proclaimed empire correctly.
"Self-proclaimed" empire? If it's self-proclaimed, then "they" must have proclaimed the US to be an empire. Please cite the news article. And also, please tell us how this so-called empire should be run, if it isn't being run correctly.
OK...here's your starting point. We're all ears.

Totally fair. Please understand that I am at work, and so do not have my research stored here and must actually seek out information to link to (I don't memorize links, my memory's not that good!).
By the way - I am a guy, so you can say "he" instead of it. Just so you know.

Even Rome tried to take care of its own citizens.I don't want the gov't to 'take care of me.'
Hussein was pretty incapable of hurting us. Would he if he'd had a chance? Sure! But could he? As the truth now coming out reveals, hardly.
In our increasingly smaller 'global community', danger can be something as small as, well, West Nile Virus or Sars. Even if only psychologically: the Islamic facists, or Hussein, or the North Koreans have no other way to defeat us. Post 9-11 we can hardly take threats lightly anymore.
First people were complaining Bush didn't do anything to stop 9-11, and now when he, for reasons we may not know yet, has decided to take the USA into Iraq, IMHO, its all part of the larger War on Terror.
Now his spending, that I don't like.

Here it is again, in case you missed it accisedentally the first 3 times:

Hussein was responsible for 9/11
Did President Bush, or anyone in our Government, ever - EVER - make that claim? Got a source, if you think someone did, as you appear to be saying?

Maybe it would've been better to make your accusation when you were better prepared, then.

Admin moderator, you need to step in here and take control of this situation. This poster is making a mockery of this forum. I have asked it repeatedly for some proof to its comments. Other posters have as well. It's an insult to have this person on this forum. I have stated I don't mind arguing with it, but it refuses to answer to serious allegations that it has made.

Fine with me, this is fair.
Okay, I acknowledge a bit of hyperbole on my part. I cannot actually recall an instance when the Bush administration actually declared that the United States is an empire.
I will take that one from the table.
To: Prodigal Son
If every poster on this forum who has (ignorantly) called President Bush a liar was banned, there'd be allot of people missing.
To: FascistSlayer
The problem I have? Being lied to. Simple as that. Q One question for you both. Do you believe that there is a link between Saddam Hussein, a direct link, and the men who attacked on September the 11th?
THE PRESIDENT: I can't make that claim.
So who is lying here? President Bush was being truthful in his response to the question. YOU, on the other hand, lied BY OMISSION. You, girl, purposefully neglected the second response when you chose what portion of the article to excerpt.
Nice try. You don't fool me with your "innocent" act.
