Gadhafi: 'Straights' Don't Get AIDS

Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi told a conference of African leaders Saturday that Africans who are "straight" need not fear AIDS, which is ravaging many countries on the continent.

Speaking through a translator, Gadhafi drew some laughter with his reference to AIDS only affected homosexuals.

He told the closing session of the eight-day annual African Union conference, "All you have to do is observe the rules. If you are straight, you have nothing to fear from AIDS." He also described HIV, the virus that causes AIDS as "a peaceful virus, not an aggressive virus."

Of the 42 million people worldwide infected with HIV, 29 million live in sub-Saharan Africa. , at the close of the eight-day summit,

Gadhafi added in his address to 40 African heads of state that they should also not "worry about tsetse flies and mosquitoes" - which carry malaria and sleeping sickness - saying they were "God's armies" protecting Africa from its enemies, apparently foreigners.

"If they come here, they will get malaria and sleeping sickness," he said.

Malaria kills 5 million Africans a year, while sleeping sickness - also known as African trypanosomiasis - kills more than 25,000 people in Africa a year.

I can't disagree with your first statement. Absent fornication, AIDS would not be the problem it is today.

As far as sex education goes, I think it's a bit naive to suggest that handing out condoms and educating Africans won't slow down the epidemic.

one huge problem there is prostitution and that the men like 'dry' sex.. some prostitutes according to the article on AIDS that was posted here, stated that the prostitutes take dirt from the ground where baboons have urinated and insert it causing swelling. The lack of sanitation, the promiscuity added with ignorance is the crux of the problem in Africa.

AH...so AIDS is an epidemic because prostitutes use dirt mixed with baboon urine.

Yeah maybe, but it has the side effect of increasing FORNICATION instead of sexual activity withing marriage. That's the intended side effect mind you. Hand out Bibles instead and explain how marriage works. Explain in clear terms that adultery and fornication are SIN. Nobody needs SEX education, least of all Africans. Africans do not need to be aborted nor do they need the chains of condoms as gifts from liberal racists to subvert the instructions God gave to be fruitful and multiply. Liberals use SEX education to destroy the family so they can weaken it as a prelude to State Socialism. We want a Christian Africa. It's in American interests to see the Christians in Africa multiply and prosper. Some churches in Kenya got the right idea as they went out and purchased millions of condoms and destroyed them. Condoms promote infidelity and sex outside of marriage as a safe and subversive alternative.

But you have ignoreed what was said on other posts. While no one argues whether addicts or infected needle users get AIDS, it is not the common knowlege that most African cases among heterosexuals is that sodomy is a widely practised sexual pratice.

Sodomy tears the linings of the bowels and exposes blood vessels to direct contact with whatever is introduced inside. That explains why sodomy gives it to men and why sodomy gives it to women.

Barring any un-natural disaster of sorts: mass blood contamination, mass dirty needles in hospitals, or the unthinkable: mass mutation into an airborne pathogen; AIDS remains spread by Sodomy more than any other transmission medium.

Men or women. It also explains why lesbians who do not do drugs tend to not get AIDS.

• How did this man get AIDS?
