It was 92 in the shade yesterday. At Andrews where he was playing golf, I imagine it was hovering closer to 98!!! It was HOT!

And now, - to the important business.

Happy, happy Birthday Mr. President.

I remember you telling me long ago that you live in an old barn, but I've got to tell you that is one gorgeous barn! The property is so scenic and peaceful looking. You're a lucky lady.

When I got divorced, he got the house I got the barn. I AM a lucky person. God gave me a stable for a new life.

You should see the "before" pictures. It was a great outlet for my anger........

I've learned to do all sorts of things: plumbing, electrical, carpentry,...But still have the "ONLY DULL WOMEN HAVE IMMACULATE HOMES" sign hanging inside the door. ANd still have red toenails.

I'm watching the re-run of Meet the Press and I'm ready to switch channels, they have that former Clinton stooge, Ambassador Joseph Wilson, He is claiming that Bush & Co. exxagerated the Intelligence. Now Carl Levin is on claiming the same and how concerned he is. WHAT A CROCK

Saw some of this show myself and almost barfed my dinner. Interestingly Alan Greenspan's wife, Andrea Mitchell, filling in for Russett, tossed them the softballs and offered nothing to 'balance' their charges....oh well....her usual bias was evident.

Russett would have done a better job of presenting the other side, I think.

All you have to do is look at the topics she or the station chose. She was on the attack and it was obvious that Senator John Warner didn't like it.

The media will be doing all they can for the next 15 months to chip away at GWB's credibility and the support he enjoys from the American people, but they are barking up the wrong tree if they think they can attack his reasons for taking this country to war against Iraq. A large majority of Americans thought we should have taken out Saddam back in 1991, so their attempts to paint him as war monger isn't gonna cut it.

What we have going on here is the only way Terry McAuliffe knows how to operate. He and the hacks on the left are blinded by their hatred and have no message at all to run on because they're to busy waiting for the President to slip up in any way. Just look at their cries about him saying "Bring-em On". That alone is a sign they have absolutely nothing to run on, my goodness what is he supposed to say..... "I am begging those who are fighting us in Iraq to stop the violence against us" ?

If the economy continues to pick up like it has so far this year, by next spring the lagging indicator (unemployment) will improve and the GDP will soar. If the WMD's are found and Saddam is captured or proven dead, the democrats have ZILCH, and I mean ZILCH to offer in 2004.

Psalm 106
1 Praise the LORD .
Give thanks to the LORD , for he is good;
his love endures forever.
2 Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the LORD
or fully declare his praise?
3 Blessed are they who maintain justice,
who constantly do what is right.
4 Remember me, O LORD , when you show favor to your people,
come to my aid when you save them,
5 that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones,

Hi Rintense! Thanks for the Sunday Dose!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR PRESIDENT, AND MANY MORE!!!!

Hoosier Mama, what a lovely place you have..I collect old things too, (like Mr.B)..kidding!

I used to have an antique shop in Wiscasset, Me.
I still have lots of that stuff left over, and my house is waaaay too crowded! Lots of old prints and advertising..pictures of Victorian brides (my favorite!) and so on..linens, old baby booties, old tablecloths, hair combs..I really must have a yard sale one of these days!

One of my favorite things is an old coal holder..looks like a miniature hamper, with little lions feet, and is painted with Turkish designs, camels and palm trees and such..

Special Hello to you, Mtngrl..

and a good evening to all...

Ms.B

I love 1776 too! I guess it's because it showed how important the contribution of John Adams was(my favorite founder).Did you read David McCullough's - "JOHN ADAMS"? Fantastic, fabulous book! I nearly teared up at the end, when Adams and Jefferson died within ours of each other on the Fourth of July - 50 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence. I'd really love to see that book made into a TV mini-series!

Hope everyone had a great Independence weekend.

Mike and I are hoping we hear soon that our package for Eric arrived in Iraq.

I'm relieved that we have apparently gotten through our Fourth of July celebrations without any terrorist attacks, and continue to pray that God will bring Saddam Hussein to justice soon.
