You live in a world where the female half your population is declared useless and hence, unproductive. Your leaders, if you can call a wild assortment of thugs by that title, specialize in buying weapons. Your wealthy family members don't produce anything more complicated than profits for international casinos. The world looks down on such a stupid waste of resources. And hence, on you.
Arab leaders excel at producing excuses for their failures. Here we have a region of the world that was blessed with being situated on top of great wealth. And with that wealth your leaders have done nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Think of Japan. The Japanese sit on a rock. No oil, no gas, no anything. No minerals, no diamonds, no coal. Nothing. And yet, their people have more, do more and are respected.
Ever wonder why?
Join the real world, get the chip off your shoulder and do something impressive. Build something, invent something, produce a great product. Write a song the rest of us want to hear, make a movie worth watching, show us how kind you are. Do something. Drop you silly, corrupt 14th century creepy ways and quit stoning women. Drop the slavery. Clear up the corruption. Quit equating manhood with weapons. Let your women contribute to your society. Quit fighting with all your neighbors. Almost every war on the planet is being fought by some Muslim group. Shine the light on yourselves and see if you're not part of the problem. Quit funding mass murderers. Grow up.
Oh, yeah, one more thing. An incompetent mean spirited 13 year old can burn down a building. Destroying is easy. Really. But the thirteen year old who burns down a building is not the equal to the man who built the building. Destroyers are not the equals of builders and never will be. And when you're ready to start building something other than massive excuses for your failures, we'll be here with open arms. Join the real world. It's not too late.

How would I feel if I were an Arab? Well, between buggering young boys, beating my arranged "wife," being beaten senseless by any competent military, mindlessly hating Israel, and dealing with the diseases and parasites brought on by the twelfth-century conditions in which I live, I don't have much time for feeling anything else! Oh, wait, I (along with every other Arab) have to spend a lot of time thinking about what the next thing I can do to humiliate and disempower my country's women is, also.

"backward?" Why, just think of all the "forward" things that Arabs have done these past two or three hundred years ---- Pleeze!
You left out the greatest Christian country of all -- that of Byzantium. Anatolia (present day Turkey) is called Turkey because it is under occupation by the Turks. The Turks come from Turkmenistan over in central Asia. Anatolia is a Hellenistic country by heritage whose religion was Orthodox Christianity. Although we hear of the poor Palestinians overran by the non-native Jews, why do we never hear of the Greeks chased out of Anatolia by the non-native Turks?
