Well what it boils down to is this. This man's life was less important to this woman than her desire to hide her condition while driving. Teddy, are you listening?

If this was my relative I'd want her to fry. She's damn lucky in my book.

She did not deserve a life sentence. No priors and her crime was not the same as, for example, what the abortion doctor killer did.

IMHO, what Submarine Commander Theodore M Kennedy did is in principal precisely the same as what this lady did.

She gets 60 years; he walks.

Main differences:

1. Her name isn't Kennedy.

2. He wasn't subject to Texas justice.

Don't agree with you. She's a brain dead kid who completely freaked out. Her biggest crime was not getting help for this poor guy and the cover up.

The act itself was not premeditated so she does not deserve death.

Her life is ruined. That's enough.
