Don't agree with you. She's a brain dead kid who completely freaked out. Her biggest crime was not getting help for this poor guy and the cover up.
The act itself was not premeditated so she does not deserve death.
Her life is ruined. That's enough.

the act of driving home and closing the garage door while she pondered how to get herself out of the mess is premeditation.

I tend to agree with you on one level, but have to admit that if someone watched my brother die rather than call for help, I'd consider that premeditated.
She made a concious decision to let him die. Yes, I am sad that her life is ruined too, but she got exactly what she deserved IMO. Her future is gone. BFD considering the person she let die has no concious existance whatsoever.
I have always thought that if one life is forfeit, the other life is forfeit. You can't bring the victim back, so no matter how sad it may appear, the second life is forfeit too.

Her biggest crime was not getting help for this poor guy and the cover up. She put him in the situation he was in therefore she was responsible for getting him aid.
She not only did not get help for him but made sure he would die by dumping him somewhere he would not be found.
She had a total indifference for anyone's life but her own and deserves everyday she spends in prison.
At least she will not be treating elderly people or driving the streets stoned.
