WASHINGTON (CNN) --The CIA has in its hands the critical parts of a key piece of Iraqi nuclear technology -- parts needed to develop a bomb program -- that were dug up in a back yard in Baghdad, CNN has learned.

Gas Centrifuge designed specifficaly for enriching uranium. It put them at least three years aheas of where they were back in 1991. They could have produced a bomb within three years with this equipment. Development was proceeding but only prototypes were produced to help keep the program secreat.

Probably not the tabletop kind that do about 6000 rpm...probably closer to the kind that look like washing machines and do about 50k.

I'm sure you're correct but I don't think Saddam's crew would bury every centrifuge he had in one hole. They would have spread the assets around so they all couldn't be found at once.
