June 23, 2003

(Baton Rouge) – Today, a bi-partisan group of legislators announced their support for Hunt Downer in announcement on the steps of the State Capitol. This group included legislators from all corners of the state.

I don't think so. It looks as though the bandwagon for Hunt Downer is rolling!

I still want him to withdraw and clear the way for Jindal. However, I could live with him being in the runoff. It's time for Blossman and Kyle to withdraw. On a side note, what the hell is Vic Stelly doing on that list? He's the one who got through a bunch of new taxes. Dosen't sound like a great platform for Downer to run on: "Vote for me and I'll extend the Stelly taxes."

LA Governor's Race *ping*

Impressive endorsement for Downer, but I'm still backing Jindal. :-)

Lots of (conservative?) dems on that list. Does that mean he has good crossover support?

Possibly, although just having legislative endorsements won't put you over the top. Some might say having those types of endorsements are reason to vote AGAINST you. ;-)
