DC Chapter stalwart 'kristinn' braved the Good Morning America broadcast and gives us the blow by blow account..
Diane: You are going to be on the New York Times bestseller list slugging it out with Hillary Clinton.
Ann:I hope so.
Diane: Who is going to win?
Ann: Umm, Well I think she has a three to one pound advantage over me, but we will see.
Diane: (stunned silence for a moment as her jaw drops and eyes bug out) Three to one pound advantage? Did you just say what I think you said?
Ann: You said 'slugging it out with Hillary'
Diane: So you are just talking about arm wrestling?
Ann: Yes, if that is your phraseology.
Diane: (Going for the quick interview wrap up) Alright, Ann Coulter. As we've said, if you want your veins to be bulging, your pulse to be pounding and you really want somethng provocative the book is 'Treason' and it is out today. You can go to the ABC News Website if you want to see more about it and read more exerpts. (Diane, still flustered, holds the back of the book to the camera to a national television audience)

It is a funny comment, the kind that makes these boring politcal interviews more interesting.
Coulter somtimes goes very far out in her comments and even I as a conservative gasp.
But when she is attacked, no one fights back better than her.
I wonder if some nterviewers will not take Ann on because she is so provocative

Im sure, in the circles she moves in, Diane Sawyer has never once heard a vicious cheap shot delivered against a liberal in her life. Well, it was a vicious cheap shot. I don't know that I'd even expect Hillary to be that classless.

And one has to be pretty sharp to trade quips with Annie on live TV.
I was surprised that Katie Couric agreed to interview her last time..

I think it's kind of juvenile of Coulter to have made a weight joke there.
Hmmm... Sawyer was apparently the one that made the fist-fight reference and Ann was just riffing on it. Ann gets as much grief about being skinny as Hellary does about being fat. Furthermore, if our Annie was the type to think to herself "well, I could make a reference to her weight, but I better not because it would diminish the struggle of Woman", she wouldn't be the person she is and she wouldn't be nearly as popular as she is.
She's our answer to James Carville only a hella lot cuter, and a hella lot smarter.

And generally, it bothers me that females who are public figures are so often subject to comments on their looks when males can look like... well, like, say Warren Christopher, and not get quite the same grief
Welcome aboard.
I think we are pretty equal opportunity abusers around here.
While nobodys really even thought of Warren Christopher in a few decades, we make cheap comments all the time about the hideous visages Henry Waxman, Jerry Nadler, James Carville, and Alan Colmes, to name just a few gruesome male examples.
Sure it's juvenile, but so's ice cream and fireworks, and I still like those too.

Find me one. The work is crude but I'm still interpreting Buddy's typing. He is obviously very smart but not much for spelling or grammar. I am trying to leave his meaning and insight but make it a little more readable.

He was lured into a hit an run. Buddy even knew it was a set up, (it's in his email to Ruth), but he took his chances for freedom and lost.
