Free Republic was never intended as a place for people to bash each other. It's for conservatives to expose fraud and corruption in the government, etc, and to discuss ideas of how to defeat liberalism. Those of you who have some other agenda might have better luck elsewhere.
We do allow enough space for some amount of personal fun and goofing around, etc, but I will draw the line eventually when people start getting hurt. If you want to engage in flamewars and personal bashing, please do it somewhere else.

He is no longer with us. No pics.
But he was my pal for 19 1/2 yrs and we called him our attack cat :-) AT the time he weighed in at 37lbs he was equal to the record here in Fl acording to my vet. But old age got him. I wish i had had him cloned. He wasn't a fatty either. Just huge.

Cats don't love, I think they "suck up" at least my cats would eat me in a second if they were hungry and I don't think they would feel a bit of guilt. Maybe not, but years ago we had a young mother cat who started bringing her three week old kittens to us. We would put them back in the nest and she would bring them back to us. Finally we noticed that she had an abscess in her mouth and couldn't eat. She was starving and couldn't feed her kittens. So she brought them to us to feed.
