I thought I prefaced my comment with "when he attacks a liberal caller". He is relentless when a guy is trying to get over of him. Where Rush and Sean talk the polite track and try to debate losers who will never agree, Savage screams at them and tries to wake them up, in the meantime I'm cracking up and damn near falling out of my chair.

That's the problem isn't it- you never really know when Weiner is serious or joking? When he calls Jewish liberals who fled Tsarist Russia (RDDB's) "filth" and "vermin", is he joking or serious? After all, what do you do with vermin except exterminate them?

I'm listening to Savage's opening segment yesterday, at 2min 50sec into the show he starts discussing the issue in SF that the problem is contractural agreements. No mention of "engineers".

No- I did- but as I said I was trying to understand about the SHOW. I guess there may not be a way to seperate the SHOW from the rest (website/book/etc) - in that case its personality. So I ask again- does he remind you of yourself, friends of yours or is it he's just saying what you say to liberals? I guess I just prefer Rush & Hannity's "polite" tone as you put it. I think there's enough rudeness in the world- thats all....

If you take that statement by itself, it sounds bad. You are only taking the part of the statement that helps you make your point. When he says this, he's talking about those who left Russia and came here to become lawyers etc, who fight for the same thing the Tsars in Russia wanted. He's mcking them for being lawyers who fight for the filth of this country.

Perzackly. I remember that Geoff Metcalf was quite open about his contractual uncertainty when he went from daily to weekend-only - he was quite factual and classy, and just said "check my website" to see where I'll be. I had absolutely no problem with that, and he showed respect for everyone - the station, his audience, and himself - in the process. Granted, it was not a national syndication deal, but IMO, that increase in audience all but demands that you be on your best behavior even more...

I just posted from his opening segment on 6-3, yesterday. He started out saying it was contractural. You are wrong, you hate the guy and can't get your facts straight.

Well, I don't know if it's relating to a multi-millionaire. I've often heard him take a position contrary to conventional wisdom - even the CW within the conservative community (salary caps for dot-commers, martial law immediately following 9-11, etc.). I don't know if he is committed to that opinion ... I know other talkers will take a position further away from their own belief, but controversial enough to generate calls, and then move to the center as the show goes on...

I agree with most of what he says. He's entertaining. He doesn't delve into tax bills to tell us exactly what a guy earning $43,347 a year will get back. So he's not boring. Are you listening now? He's debating the Muslims and the modern world.

I am simply holding up a mirror to the Savage Nation by transcribing Weiner's statements. For example:
