When he says "screwing up" I feel like he said this sarcastically. I'm going to find the segment and listen to his tone. Also, the post apparently says "6-5-03", today being 6-4-03, this guy is either looking into the future or making something up.
As far as the date, I'd think "fat fingers" and not proofing and/or previewing is the simpler explanation. :-)
