Incidentally, one final point before I leave this issue alone for now. I am not arguing that Iraq has nothing (much less that they never had anything) in terms of WMDs. What I am arguing is that the preponderance of the evidence now strongly suggests that anything they may have was absurdly trivial compared to what they were alleged to have. I believe I have accurately described the prewar public characterization of Iraq's WMD capability; do you now still believe that was an accurate reflection of reality?

Well said.

Did you see any photos of the labs of WMD? They have been on television quite a few times. The labs didn't look trivial. The tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens who died at the hands of WMD didn't look trivial.
I've yet to read one book about the matter that suggested it wasn't a huge WMD program - one of the largest in the world. Are all the authors lying - since 1980 and to what end?
Do you honestly believe Saddam wouldn't sell WMD to AQ? They want them, he had them. Sold? Who knows - let's hope not.

I have to agree with you. I can't believe that Bush has lied to us, but it does look like the intelligence information has been faulty. Tony Blair promised to resign if no WMDs were found, hopefully they will find something soon.
If not there is a lot of explaining to do, regardless of how bad Saddam is/was.
Discussion these issues doesn't make anyone unpatriotic or a left winger for that matter, the issued have to be looked at objectively.
I actually heard one of our right wing radio hosts say that he was almost ready to apologize to Chretien (barf), not yet, but if nothing found in a couple of months he will.
