How were the actions devastating to the defense? I've heard that implied but I fail to see how this undermines the defense case, whatever that is.

Story was told that security company called police, but police said...no Jackie Peterson was the one that called police. Jackie Peterson had told Gretta on Fox via telephone that they had no problem with Rocha's going into home. Scott Peterson is not the only liar in the family.
Peterson lawyers say Rocha's defiled the crime scene that the Peterson's had been in many times ! Peterson's defense is sure winning the P.R. game...ha ha

Silly me. I don't understasnd why the house and its contents, including Laci's possessions, should be accessible to the Peterson family but off limits to the Rochas. They are acting like it is THEIR home, and the Rochas are interlopers. Why should they have control? The Rochas certainly have as much right to enter as the Petersons. Their daughter owned that home, as well.

This case IS over-played and it's hard to understand. They are very ordinary people and one of thousands of murders, most equally "interesting" and every one just as tragic. We just turn the coverage off now most days. It's non-stop. Rita Cosby, Geraldo and Greta are the worst of them on Fox, totally obsessed! Larry King will do anything to get his ratings back. I think it is good that Laci's family got in there to grab what they could of their daughter's family stuff.
Let's face it, if it was left there, it would be sold at auction or garage sale for the defense of her husband and that would put all of furnishings and little things in the hands of strangers instead of her family.

Good Lord people - get a grip!

Over 340 responses and nearly all have convicted Scott Peterson based on hostile reaction to his lawyer, sympathy for a pregnant woman,rumor, innuendo, partial and well-spun news reports, lack of anything better to do, or just inate hostility.

Innocent until proven....remember?

We must have caught a virus from OJ and WJC...I certainly believe that they got off from real crimes and got off for reasons other than law or reason. But, since that time "we" have convicted every accused citizen the media has handed us for consideration. "We" have done so without a shred of certain evidence (ah, but remember the watch case, remember the concrete, remember the ides of march).

I don't know who killed this woman, I DO know people in SP's position who were entirely capable of innocently doing most or all of the dumb things alleged of him...going out on a small boat by himself instead of hanging around with his pregnant wife(just possibly on edge over pregnancy, Christmas, and Amber...).

Dumb and probably feeling guilty about infidelity does not prove guilt...sorry about that.

As to property and the families. "We" were totally in support of the Levy family who in all honesty did everything they could to prove themselves damaged if not demented. Now 'we' are standing behind a family that (yes folks, like it or not) burglarized not only a home but a crime scene. They did so after the other side had agreed to and begun to provide specific requested items AND a tour of the house to the burglars. SEVEN truck loads??

Note here that the Peterson's don't appear to be using or benefiting from the house, it's been locked up and silent but for controlled visits.

Take a deep breath and then try to give Peterson or any other less than perfect example of humanity the same breaks you'd expect if you walked into a tragedy without an airtight alibi.

Unbelievable!

Despite the feeling of both families the court in most cases would of ordered everthing to be out of reach to both sided untill probate.

I feel for the MPD having to respond to the call to Laci's home. I still think legally it should have been stoped.

Emotionally I would have went and taken my daughters belongings too before the slimey Petersons sold everything.

If I was MG I think I would put a sock in Jackie P's mouth. Regarding "our house".

Didn't SP sign a Power of Attorney ot his parents? I know this does not entitle them to owning squat it just allows them to sign for him.
