It would make sense that the Islamofacists bombed the Olympics in Atlanta....because there was a combination of countries there.
To: aristeides
The Olympic Park bombing used an M.O. recently seen used in Jerusalem: nail bomb in a backpack.
Huh, that is interesting. The Olympic Park did seem a little of out Rudolph's targets, and he would make an ideal patsy for the olympic one.

If you read Bodansky's book about bin Laden, you will read that the Islamofascists were very interested in attacking the U.S. around the time of the '96 Olympics. TWA 800 happened around that time. The Olympic Park bombing used an M.O. recently seen used in Jerusalem: nail bomb in a backpack.Yes, I remember that from Bodansky's book. The Palestinian terrorists have used nail bombs--usually soaking the nails and ball bearings in rat poison--since the Intifada began 2-3 years ago.

What exactly is the Army of God?
I don't know and was just wondering if you knew?
Are they a group?
To: rebel
Asking a provocative question is defending a terrorist?? Even stating an opinion about an abortion nurse does the same.

I disagree with you, but I must say that she had a weird reaction to the bombing. She is now an ardent pro-choice activist. To become an activist for infanticide in reaction to Rudolph's inhuman act is really sick.
Perhaps, the Leftist, abortion interest groups are bankrolling her. They love to use people like Lyons to discredit their nonviolent foes and push their agenda.

What a cynical and irresponsible take on the situation.Me? Cynical? Guilty as charged.
Irresponsible? That's a little over the top. You just wait for the press conference. They will claim that this catch was the result of all their hard work, when in fact he was caught by a local cop. The local cop is the only one who deserves any praise at all. (And he deserves quite a bit.)

Anything below strike anyone as fishy? I'll pull out the parts I mean.
ERIC RUDOLPH CHARGED IN CENTENNIAL OLYMPIC PARK BOMBING
Also Charged with Bombings at North Atlanta Clinic and Atlanta Nightclub
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Federal authorities today charged Eric Robert Rudolph with the fatal bombing two years ago at Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park, as well as the 1997 bombings at an Atlanta area health clinic and a nightclub, the Southeast Bomb Task Force announced.
In a criminal complaint filed today in Atlanta, together with a sealed affidavit, the Justice Department charged that the 32 year old resident of Murphy, North Carolina, was responsible for the Centennial Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta on July 27, 1996, the double bombing at the Sandy Springs Professional Building in north Atlanta on January 16, 1997, and the double bombing at The Otherside Lounge in Atlanta on February 21, 1997. An arrest warrant was issued today for his arrest on these charges.
Rudolph, who authorities had previously sought for questioning in connection with the three bombings, was charged in February 1998, with the bombing at the New Woman All Women Health Care Clinic in Birmingham, Alabama on January 29. That bomb killed Birmingham police officer Robert Sanderson, and severely injured the clinic's head nurse, Emily Lyons.
HERE ARE THE PARTS TO CONSIDER:
"We are going to keep searching until we find him," said Attorney General Janet Reno in an announcement made today at the Justice Department.
"In a criminal complaint filed today in Atlanta, together with a sealed affidavit, the Justice Department charged that the 32 year old resident...."
"together with a sealed affidavit ..."
Why a sealed affidavit? Remember Waco's sealed affidavit?
Well today everyone is a terrorist, let's go for it!

I disagree with you, but I must say that she had a weird reaction to the bombing. She is now an ardent pro-choice activist. I think she always was. I read on of her many interviews where she proudly talks about assisting in salt abortions. What a way to kill a fetus.

Your post 36 shows that the FBI has charged Eric Rudolph. The evidence connecting Rudolph to the Olympic park bombing was not mentioned. Neither was there any mention of your views on abortion.
Are you or are you not Pro-Abortion?It's a simple question. Are you unwilling to answer it for any particular reason?
To: rebel
"Good grief!! Mainstream FR doesn't even allow a "devil's advocate! " Depends on where and when you ask it. If you saw a Muslim posting, "Someone acted alone against evil. Would it be evil to attack a Nazi death camp?" on 9/12, you'd accuse him of being a terrorist sympathizer.
Regarding you insistence that I answer this, no, it wouldn't be evil. And if America were a fascists dictatorship where trying to persuade people that abortion is murder would get you killed, you analogy would have some link to reality.

"It puts his Olympic Park bombing in perspective. Did we all miss something? Has Rudolph's trial already been held, and he was convicted?
If it's proven that he is innocent, you are going to look really stupid. At least use the word "alleged" or "suspected". You write as though you work for CNN or the New York Times.

""We are going to keep searching until we find him," said Attorney General Janet Reno in an announcement made today at the Justice Department"
Very soon we will hear from some liberal media hack how this capture was the result the hard work and foundation that the Clinton Justice Department laid.

Oh darn, I was hoping they would bash the Bush Administration all weekend over Wolfowitz's 'Nazi-like' Vanity Fair comments. </>sarcasm They'll still find time for the Wolfowitz bash, but just won't have much air time left for President Bush's Europe and Middle East trip.
To: MEG33
Yeah, but you do see my point? They will use this. They will argue that beneath the surface everybody who is ardently pro-2nd Amerndment and anti-media is a shade away from Eric Rudolph. Trust me they will use this!
