I certainly am tired of it.

You are not alone! I am not sure why the cable news channels pick a crime a season and just drive it into the ground. Makes me crazy. I turn them off everything they bring it up.

Why the obsession in the news about this case? I just turn it off. Wasn't an Hispanic Woman also found murdered the same way? Not too much news about that.

Right now on Larry King they are doing a whole ghoulish number about the bodies. Have you noticed how many times they go over and over and over this case on the Larry King show?

It's called "capitalism". The demands of the marketplace. Channels are covering it 24/7 since it pulls huge ratings ... means more $$$ for stockholders.

You're not alone AO. I'm
SICK of hearing of high profile California murder cases in general.
I kinda got burnerd out on the Danielle van Dam Case; now this.
Enough already!
Is this REALLY national news?

I always wondered why this case is making so many headlines...when so many are murdered in this country every year

I am so fed up with this pretty boy and the news media's obsession with him.
To: annyokie
Nope. I'm sick and tired of it too. When it comes on, I just flip the channel to something else.....anything else.

We don't have outside TV broadcast in this house. Haven't had it for 11 years. It's wonderful to not have it. I come to Free Republic to read about REAL news and then suddenly, lots of soap-opera like coverage of the Peterson case. I don't read it, am not going to start, and am bumping this thread.
If the man killed his wife and child (from the headlines, I presume that is the indication), then he should suffer the death penalty. It is for the courts to decide and I don't want to read about individuals who do, may, or may not live that way. Thank all of you for understanding.

The Scott Peterson case is great TV, trust me!!!
To: annyokie
Well, I don't think it's right to send the little guy back to Cuba...
What? Did I miss something?
