Who Else is Sick of Hearing About Scott Peterson?

Am I the only one who is sick and tired of the wall-to-wall coverage of this case?

Rant on or flame on.

The two news shows I watch have a grand total of ZERO coverage of this case -- Special Report (with Brit Hume), and Moneyline (with Lou Dobbs).

Who Else is Sick of Hearing About Scott Peterson?

I've Hadenuf!

It's amazing how people in places like Hacksaw Arkansas gawk at this garbage. And the jerkwad suspect is not even a celebrity!

If this guy is ever found not guilty, the'll be jumping out of windows...The whole country will probably shut down, and whatever is name is, will be hunted down by semi toothless ol ladies.....

We don't have any idea what's happening in Iraq, though we have troops there still in danger. We don't have any idea what's happening in Afghanistan, though we still have troops in danger. Yet all we hear 24/7 is about the murder of someone we don't know. I'm sorry the girl was murdered, I'm sorry for her baby, but get off the TV!!!! I'm sick of it!

True. We could use some new Tales of the Gun as well as some of my other favorites. Nevertheless, I'd rather watch the same show over and over than get sucked into the other bilge on TV.

All media broadcast through cable, satelite, or broadband internet access is technically Pay-Per-View, via your monthly bill. You get what the majority wants and is willing to pay for.

Why the obsession in the news about this case? I just turn it off. Wasn't an Hispanic Woman also found murdered the same way? Not too much news about that.

Yeah, and how about that lady in Texas that chased her 5 kids around the house and drowned them all in the bath tub and toilet? Jezzz, you'd thing that would have made a TV mini series out of that one.

Laci was an attractive woman, and she was pregnant. It's a soap opera plot, especially when you add a mystery and Christmas Eve to the mix.

I suspect this story is overwhelming popular with women, and men just don't get it.

There are no celebrities or politicians involved. There's absolutely no hook at all to national news, foreign policy, economics, or anything that means anything outside of the soap opera.

I'm moderately curious about the facts, since it appears that the killing was done with no physical evidence to implicate the logical suspect in the case. I think it absorbs far too much of the time of people here at FR, and I don't think that any development, short of a jury verdict, is Breaking News.

It's only on my radar because it seems to be on everyone else's. Men kill their wives every single day in this country, and it's not national news.

Now a woman who drives over her adulterous husband in a hotel parking lot five times and pleads not guilty, that's news. But non-stop, let's dwell on it 24 hours a day news.

I am sick of hearing about him. I am sick of Greta Van Liberal, and Geraldo Klintonvera ramble on about this whole event.

In fact, the sooner they toast this sick piece-of-debris the better off we will all be.

"Oh look, yet another SP thread!"

LOL! I wonder if there are as many of these yet as there were Dixie Chicks threads and are the mods keeping track.
