Rally for America - Lone Star Style! (LIVE THREAD)
Live reports from Dallas | 05/28/2003 | Interesting Times

Posted on 05/28/2003 6:19:01 AM PDT by Interesting Times

Good morning, campers.

Yesterday in Dallas, Texas, members of GreenPeace and other assorted leftists pestered attendees at the annual Exxon-Mobil shareholders meeting by way of expressing their loathing for free-market capitalism. As is their custom, most of the leftists managed to get themselves arrested in the process. Nothing new there.

Today we're offering something a bit different -- a rally in celebration of capitalism.

Great report.

Few of the enviro-cultists have any clue how many millions of people have died from malaria since DDT was banned.

Thank you, Rachel Carson

They're there... under the fish pants. (I have better leg pics, but I'm afraid they will end up sideways.)

The centerpiece of the rally is a *huge* banner featuring cute stick children with big smiley faces, butterflies, green trees under a rainbow. And an oil rig. It reads: "Oil - For the Children!"

ROTFLMBO!

The Shrew came to town prior to the rally and prepared a wonderful meal for some of the early arriving out-of-towners. Thanks for the feed, Shrew! Wish you coulda stayed for the rally.

Thanks for the kind comments! It was a pleasure to meet you and the rest of the Texas Freepers!

I wish I coulda stayed for the rally as well but I have to work to support this very expensive hobby of mine - FREEPING! Your report puts me right there though and is appreciated.

Regards,

TS

Shrew, you knocked our socks off with the dinner you prepared Tuesday night.

Here are a few pics from The Feast:

It was really fun! I'm glad everyone enjoyed it! My personal favorite meal was the Texas BBQ put on by Clinger! What a treat to eat smoked brisket, sausage and all the fixin's prepared authentic Texas style!

It was great!

Regards,

TS

On the bottom, in small print, is the following: Paid for by the Human Rights Campaign, Equality Project, National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, National Transgender Advocacy Coalition, Out and Equal, PFLAG, and Pride at Work.

Ah-ha! I thought that was why they picked Exxon-Mobil! Odds are, the strategy is to somehow damage E-M's image with the protests, profits drop slightly and the Left then claims that the reason for the drop in price is a backlash against E-M's view of gay rights.

I almost always get gas at my local Citgo because the owners are Christians who underwrite a lot of local Christian broadcasting, but any time I'm filling up out of the area, I look for an Exxon station first.

A decorated Vietnam flyer whose screenname I forget, but was referred to by others as "The Colonel," made a number of our signs. He has excellent penmanship and a wry wit. One of his ideas, which was nixed, was a large pink triangle with the text, "Petroleum (i.e. Jelly) Lubricates the Alternative Lifestyle."

Mr. Chairman!

Mr. Chairman!

The Freeper known as The Shrew would like to place a motion before the assembly!

"In the Freeper tradition of the terms "Moose" and "Cheese" and I propose that the following Nom de Guerre be permanently added to the Official Freeper Lexicon, Whereas the organization heretofore known as "Greenpeace" be referred to forevermore in Freeper Lexicon and Lore as "RedPiece" inasmuch as they are a 'tool for the communists.'

TS
