Thanks for the updates. PGATOUR.COM is projecting that even par is the cut.

Most pros consider Par 5's birdieable most of the time, so even at 565, there is a good chance at picking up a stroke..

Yep, PGA never has had a gener requirement, in fact despite all the publicity Annika is not the first woman to play a PGA event... the first woman to play in a PGA event happened in the 40s.
To: kidd
Yep... 30 at or above par, extended to the other half of the field, and that's 60.

We can argue all day on this. The point is, on her best day -which means she hits all those near misses- she could seriously contend in a given tournament. Can she do it consistently? Will she have awful days? No and yes. But the point is, if she has a great day -not a fantasy, never-can-do it day, just a great day- she's looking at 5 under par today.

And, while they consider them birdie-able,it is quite obvious by the leaderboard that most aren't managing to do it.

Someone please explain to me why women don't excel in auto racing. Because they're always looking in the visor mirror, putting on lipstick, etc.

Annika with Mike W. In my best Arnold voice "Annika my little man". Geez look at her arms - she must spend 4 hours a day in the weight room.

Ditto. If she had made some of those putts which we know she can make, and WILL make on another day, she would be right in contention. Even without making those putts, she's not far off the pace.
To: Teacher317
"4th (par 3, 246 yds): Drive is on the green."She did not use a driver. Probably a 3 metal wood.

The cut is 70 players and ties..... That's 52 out of the starters won't make it if there are no ties.....

Playing from the blue tees, Annika could shoot a 64 or 65 at Colonial if she played the round of her life. ...No doubt about it.
