"Wow, I'm like so impressed.

So where'd you finish on the tour today?"

LOL! That's the funniest thing about this whole thread. All these guys who can't break 90 are criticizing this young woman who us -1. I'd love to see a foursome with three of this thread's biggest critics and this young woman. 'Twould be marvelous to watch.

"Looks like he's in the trees, Jim."

Exactly, which is why I am rooting for her instead of against her. None of this whiny liberal forcing her way on through the courts.

I never even thought of archery or fencing or chess or lawn darts or whatever when I said sport. But that's how far you had to go to find one. Good for you. Get back to me when the Annaka beats Tiger or a WNBA team beats the Lakers. Annaka is playing well and some male feminists here are trying to parlay it into a gender neutral society.

Exactly. I personally saw two near misses for birdie.

Ideal weather conditions? Wet, slick, and muddy don't make for a good, predictable golf game.

Wet conditions bring down the scores in almost all tournaments. The hardest part of the PGA tour is putting and soft greens make the greens much easier.

So is annika married, or is she living with a significant other? Great minds what to know her agenda!

"The announcers this morning said she made her first rookie mistake wearing white pants. Not if she doesn't have to leave the fairway or greens."

Seems like the announcers were trying to make something of nothing, as if the women's tour never plays in the rain. As far as pro golf is concerned, she is definitely not a rookie. I doubt very much the announcers would even notice if a male golfer came out in white pants.

I personally saw two near misses for birdie.

The same thing could be said about the majority of the players in the field.

Fencing and equestrian (the two that I brought up) are Olympic sports. I can't help it if they don't meet your narrow-minded definitions.

Those are the top five (on the Money List)

Here's an interesting speculation. Based on the world rankings of top 150 players. There are 67 of those players in the field this weekend, with the highest being Mickelson at # 2. Here's two questions.

1) What will be the world ranking of the highest player that she outscores?

2) How many of those 67 players will she place ahead of.

Ok, take your shots.

Annika is definitely in the fight if she doesn't have any bogeys yet. Consistency is a huge part of the game.

You're comparing apples and oranges. Annika is one player. A WNBA team is what, 12 players? We're not talking about the average team kicking the crap out of the Lakers, who if I'm not mistaken, are championship-caliber.

We're talking about the top female player merely holding her own with some of the best male players.

I don't think anyone said she would eat Tiger's lunch.

According to my definitions, fencing and equestrian are both sports, but golf isn't.

Condition #43 for something being a sport clearly states that it is not a sport if the most severe injury you can get is a blister.
