Al Qaeda really blew it. If they had piggy backed these attacks; they would have been more effective. NOW, the citizens have learned what they are all about. If a large attack happens here again, the mosques and Islamic centers will be stormed. We were thrown off by 9/11. Now we will fight.

I couldn't agree more. If we are attacked here again, things will be very different.

I honestly hope that while everybody is looking long and hard at possible truck bombers that also there is a more inconspicuous large vehicle that can be almost anywhere without raising suspicion, especially at large public events.....
The American dream, an RV.
A large RV can easily carry tons of explosives, anybody can rent one, they go everywhere, and most of all they have never been used or talked about as homicide bombers here in the US.

Al-Qaida and Taliban trainned Terrs had killed kids before.
Where ?
Just one example (out of many), China. The Taliban in Afghanistan, trainned 1000s of anti-China ultra-Islamic Separatists group from China's Xinjiang province, consisting of Uighurs tribesmen, related to the Turkish people. These terrorists had carried bombings on Chinese school-buses killing 100s of Chinese school-children. In 2001, China warned the Taliban to stop or face an invasion force into Afghanistan
Osama Laden then said in an Arabic Radio interview, that he will destroy China.......(after he had destroyed the US first)

If a large attack happens here again, the mosques and Islamic centers will be stormed. We were thrown off by 9/11. Now we will fightI hope it doesn't come to that. There's nothing that would please Al-Qaida more than if mosques and Islamic centers were stormed. Al-Qaida wants the moderate muslims to feel that there is no more future in being moderate, that all muslims are under attack and should answer the call to arms.
Yes, now we will fight. But we must fight smart. We can reward islamic moderation and be relentless in punishment of islamic radicalism.

Al Queda us done. Stick a fork in them. There will not be anymore attacks, at least not in the US.

There will not be anymore attacks, at least not in the US. With a few shoulder-fired missiles, and the unmonitored take-off and landing paths at hundreds of commercial airports, do you really believe that?
To: leadpenny
Why even bother trying to smuggle shoulder fired missiles into this country? I can think of several more effective attacks without the logistical nightmare of acquiring shoulder fired missiles. When I think about the infinite number of ways in which Al Queda can attack America, I have to ask myself the question, "Why haven't they done so?" I think the answer falls along the the lines of a major terrorist smackdown in this country. Having been a small part of that smackdown, I feel confident that we are doing a good job. I believe Al Queda is finsihed in America.

I feel confident that we are doing a good job. I believe Al Queda is finished in America. I think we're doing a good job also - probably more than we're being told..........but...........our "compassionate" war in Iraq with our smart bombs to save "the people" so they can rise up against us again, may be our undoing. From what I've observed, radical and even moderate Islam doesn't see "compassionate" anything as a strength - more of a weakness.
I also agree if they hit us again in America, the people will act. I just hope President Bush is prepared for that when it happens - because it will happen.

I see what you do and I hope you're right.
(I have three legs to Seattle tomorrow and can't help but think about these things.)

I agree with your assessment that our campassion is seen as a weakness. Sometimes I think we should be allowed to go apesh*it just once!:)

I used to fly for a living and would feel a lot better if I had access to the fire ax and a side arm. Now, I'm just a semi white-knuckler like the rest. You're right, though, they'd have to get by me - and others.

About time cause the news is boring and ratings are down.

I agree. Bush is making a crucial mistake by not closing the borders.
We may find Saddam's WMD's here in America.
