Good Morning. What a great 'refresher course' in flag history.
You are so correct, Mama Bear. Betsy was one of the Finest.

Apparently TODAY is the day Domania is changing servers and merging the mirror site files with the others, so none of my graphics are showing up! When I previewed this morning, all the images were there, now the ones that I have on the d21c site are not coming up.
I am hoping that soon the site will be back up, until then, I guess we we are going to have to put up with the red Xs. Sorry folks, my images and my border is gone and my post looks just awful. :-(

Good morning, Mama_Bear!
A fascinating glimpse into life as it used to be - -
We can hardly imagine a world where there was no 'life insurance' or Social Security, and the impact of widowhood as a consequence. Opportunities for women to earn a way for themselves were severely limited, other than domestic paths - seamstresses, baking, boarding houses, etc.
It would have been a tough row to hoe for those with limited skills....makes you appreciate all the more, those women with 'gumption' who succeeded in coping well.
Whatever would Betsy have thought of a woman as the pilot of a B-2 bomber, such as the one who participated in the May Sea & Air Show at Ft. Lauderdale?!!

Good morning, Mrs. Bear...) Pics and all are coming through just perfect.
Thanks for today's thread, and the history you share. Somehow, I was startled upon seeing Betsy Ross' home. Her name is so familiar, but never felt I knew the person until now.
Good morning to all Hostess-babes and FRiends.
If I've not lost track...today is FRIDAY.
Life is good.

Mornin' MB. Thanks for the history lesson. Mom and Dad always said, "Learn something every day." :)
Graphics look great. Good thing... Wouldn't want you hittin' the Margaritas too early in the day. :)

Thank You for sharing Betsy Ross's profile with us. Very interesting, learned a lot from today's thread. I took the virtual tour of Betsy's home, I loved it!
