To toke or not to toke? That is one question.

Several 17th-century clay pipes found at the site of William Shakespeare's home were used to smoke marijuana, a South African anthropologist says. Although he has no proof that the Bard was the guy who smoked the pipes, he surmises that some of Shakespeare's sonnets and plays also lend credence to the possibility that the writer smoked marijuana for inspiration.

"Well, if it was plain ol Kansas style rope hemp, it'll only get you high if you climb the rope."

Ain't that the truth? A guy who looked a hell of a lot like me picked about a ton of that shit when he lived at Ft Riley. As soon as my lookalike Etsed, damn if he didn't take that shit with him to parts elsewhere. Lo these 15 years and I'm - sorry, "he" - is still not stoned.

Does this so called anthropologist explain how there came to be any marijuana or cocaine in Britain in the 17th century??? There is no historical evidence of either to my knowledge.
