President Bush began the day by speaking at the United States Chamber of Commerce in Washingtion about the economy and his proposed stimulus package. Bush then met with Jerry Bremer, who he appointed presidential envoy to Iraq. Later in the day, the President welcomed Prime Minister Goh of Singapore and signed a free-trade pact between the United States and Singapore. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

How did your brothers survive the military during the impeached one at the helm? Did your dad have any comments about X42?One brother left the service during that time Some of his leaders took their cue from the CINC and were quite corrupt. My very honorable brother turned them in and suffered dearly for it.
My father's remarks about X42 are unprintable, for the most part. Suffice it to say that he was as disgusted as it is possible to be.

Actually, I had all 'beginners' in one class, and they ALL did well in the class, which made me feel REALLY good!
The best thing about my job is helping them achieve a potential that they didn't even know they had.

Does your family live fairly close to you, or would they have to travel a bit of a distance.
I don't know if you've ever mentioned this, and if you don't mind me asking, why did you retire?

Yes, I remember very well your saying that, Mike......and I knew it would be true.
I'm still trying to deal with the fact that he will come back a 19 year old veteran! He's not going to be a typical college freshman next year!

Me too sweetie. Who knows, maybe Dubya will come to WV again and we can do it once more. I'm gaining more friends in the state Republican party all the time. I went to a rally and dinner a couple of weeks ago, and I've got friends running for local office. I have two friends who are in the state legislature, so I know I can always get tickets for President visits. You scout around for a state park in your area where we can all get together for a day. BTW, you know I'm praying for Eric all the time. And you too.

hello my friend,
I want to share a story with you because we both come from military families, I know you served this country.. unlike myself, but I thought you would appreciate this story.
Two weeks ago, I was given the flag (by my older brother) that draped my Dad's coffin when he was honored with a 21 gun salute from the Army. He told me that I deserved it and thought I should have it. I can't tell you what that means to me. He was a decorated CWO3 who recieved 11 medals that included the Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, and the ROK Presidential Unit Citation ribbon and medal.
I am in the process of puting together a couple of Badge display cases in memorial of him. It has been the most rewarding experience of my life, I have found out so much about my Dad's service in WWII and Korea that it has me speechless. The experience of finding out about what it takes to be recognized for outstanding service makes me very proud of my father and all those who have served this country.
I know you have served and I just wanted to share this stroy and thank you for serving....
God Bless You

We're a bit scattered. Mom and Dad just returned from their snowbird months in Florida, but live about 3 hours away. Two brothers and a sister are close. One brother lives across the state in Kalamazoo and another brother lives several hours away in Ohio.

Last post before bed (and Dennis Miller on Leno).
Regardless of what happens to the President's poll numbers, always remember that he is (and will remain) the most POPULAR politician in America!
New poll numbers for the woman who would be king!!
Hillary's ratings in New York (per Zogby): 47% favorable 51% unfavorable (over 60% unfavorable outside NYCity)
http://www.zogby.com/Soundbites/ReadClips.dbm?ID=5269 New poll numbers for GWB in Ohio:
76% approve (even though only 40% approve of our Republican governor, Taft)
