President Bush began the day by speaking at the United States Chamber of Commerce in Washingtion about the economy and his proposed stimulus package. Bush then met with Jerry Bremer, who he appointed presidential envoy to Iraq. Later in the day, the President welcomed Prime Minister Goh of Singapore and signed a free-trade pact between the United States and Singapore. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I have another question for you. You've mentioned before your morale during the Clinton years.
How did your brothers survive the military during the impeached one at the helm? Did your dad have any comments about X42?

:-) I remember saying (typing) to you that Eric left for basic traing a boy, he will return a man, do you remember?
My friend.... It's the upbringing you provided for Eric that gave him the tools he needed to become the man he has become. Hold your head up high with pride, You and Mr. OWF is what makes this country so great. Tell your Son Eric how much I appreciate what he is doing to protect my family and our way of life.
God Bless & Thank You my friend
Mike

I am. I really am.
The officer who came and took the report asked her if there were any weapons in the house. She said no. (I know. She's my Mom and all, but she is a rabid anti-gun person. I won't try and change her, but she won't be around a gun. Go figure!)
He asked her, in all seriousness, why? She said this:
I don't want to have to take a life.
He said: Well, you are an adult, and can make your own decisions.
I worry, like all daughters should, but I'd be real p***** if I have to waste ammo on some loser at my mom's!
(She doesn't know I keep firearms here at Maigrey Manor, and Mr. Maigrey only found out like a month ago, and I've had it for going on 10 years!)

I will definitely let you know what's happening when I can......though I don't actually KNOW what's happening. You don't know how much it means to me to have the faithful prayers of God's people here on FR for my dear little boy.......who is no longer a boy at all.
It's so important to have support in tough times like these Ohio.
I have no son but it could be my child standing where your child stands.
God Bless your home and keep Eric safe from harm. All our troops safe from harm.

....nephew's wife is a very pretty brunette. As they were shaking the President's hand, Mark told the President that many people said that his wife reminds them of Laura. So President Bush stepped back, gave Mary a good look, and then said "Well, you do."That is so sweet, kayak.

Prayers are going up here for your family. So many people are so unaware of all that military service can mean, not just for the military member, but their families left behind. All they see is pictures of them leaving and then the joyous reunions.

Moulin Rouge is the movie to end all movies. You either love it or hate it, from what I can tell. ON with the SHOW!

Yes, I heard Karen on Rush's show today. She was the one who said Rush had no right to quote J.F.K.'s statement in which he said that lowering taxes is good for the economy. Why shouldn't Rush do that? BECAUSE the idiot said that it makes JFK sound like a Republican. She was yelling at Rush. When he tried to reason with her, she said, "DON'T you talk to me like that."
She also said that she doesn't know anything about the economy.
Pathetic, stupid democrat.

Yes, it was an absolutely GLORIOUS day -- I had sooooooooo much fun!!!
....'Ohio' is just as warm, witty and wise in person as she is here on the Dose. She also has the most BEAUTIFUL family -- I particularly enjoyed the baby/toddler photos (at some point, Ohio, you must post these pictures!).
Of course, we discussed our wonderful Commander-in-Chief -- she even gifted me with one of her amazing 'pencil'(?) renderings of the president [Ohio is an incredibly gifted artist and musician/singer -- I'm green with envy!!]
. . . Ohio, thanks so much for a wonderful afternoon (and, yes, we are incredibly alike -- which is why we're both so, well, "content"!).

Some things are more important than others. College will always be there, and you're fortunate to have the drive to stick with it. Some people take breaks and have a hard time going back. You really are a stellar example for people to follow.

That chick scared me, quite frankly.

By today's standard, JFK & Bobby would be Republican per se.

I'm sure my folks will be glad that they don't have to tell people that their daughter is RETIRED anymore! I hope I get enough time to get them all here for the special day. I'd love for them all to be there. It's such an unusual situation.
