President Bush headed to Little Rock, Arkansas and spoke to a crowd regarding the economy and once again called on Congress to pass his tax cut plan. Bush also participated in a roundtable of small business owners and their employees. In the morning, the President called President Sezer of Turkey to extend his condolences to the President for the men, women and children who were injured and killed in the recent earthquake. I agree with you, mtngrl. They call Reagan the "Great Communicator," but I think Dubya is a better speaker because he uses shorter sound bytes which make the important parts more understandable and memorable.

And that's not to take anything away from Reagan. It's just that we speak faster now and we have a shorter attention span. Dubya's a man for the 21st Century when it comes to getting the message across.

I'm really late to the thread tonight, but was going to comment on what O said earlier. I'm glad you were talking about it already.

That says a lot, doesn't it, that GW is considered this way? People were attached to JFK though they didn't really know what was behind his facade, he was all illusion--but GW is already in the same category as RR in many people's eyes, if this is so.

Thank you for all that exciting information. I've been confused about that fourth wire. I heard on Fox at the time of the landing that it was a perfect one. Then later, someone made it sound as though the pilot missed the "first" wire. How nice to know that he aced it.

Thank you so much for this post. I'm so glad that those good people are being kept up to date on the pride we have in them. They are amazing.

We have a combat weather flight here and this past weekend several were awarded Bronze Stars, but I didn't find out for what. My imagination runs wild, though.

52 hours, whew and I thought 36 was bad. I've done that several times in the last year and a half, between work and family obligations. I think I'd be comatose after 48!

There are very few pictures of Jenna available, and unless the twins are at a public function with their parents, rintense usually doesn't post them, as she is trying to respect the wishes of their parents to keep them out of the public eye.

Where are you in Kuwait, or more properly, what is your duty while sationed there? Several people who frequent this thread have relatives there right now.

Maybe rintense will post one of the Inaugural pictures of Jenna for you, as a "Support the Troops" gesture! I am sure she will answer you later today.
