Senator Dianne Feinstein has once again introduced a Senate bill that would essentially ban 50 caliber rifles, similar to federal bans on machine guns.
Feinstein is joined by the usual cast of gun banners, including Schumer (D-NY), Lautenberg (D-NJ), Kennedy (D-MA), Corzine (D-NJ), Durbin (D-IL) and Levin (D-MI).
Feinstein's efforts seeks to scare the public with all manner of exaggerations about the rifles, including the suggestion that the guns can hit targets from 4 miles away.
Feinstein's press release announcing the bill failed to mention that these rifles have been around for nearly 20 years and have never once been used to kill a single person in the U.S. Instead, she attempts to demonize and create fear in the minds of those unfamiliar with our firearms and 50 caliber target shooting, to further her agenda of banning guns.
As credible threats to public safety, .50 caliber rifles rank tied with Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster and the Easter Bunny, all of which are tied to 0 fatalities in the U.S.
Fifty Caliber Shooters' Policy Institute will continue to aggressively oppose Senator Feinstein's attempts to demonize and ban .50 caliber rifles.
Oleg Volk is the Man !
The last time I shot for record at the 600 yard line, with handloads, I shot 200-15X. That translates to 15 out of 20 into a six inch X ring, and the other 5 in the 10 ring. I didn't get to see the target afterwards, as they had pasted a new face on it by the time I got down to the pits.
The rifle itself is right off the shelf, and out of the box stock. I really need to get it to a smith and have the action trued, and the barrel replaced with something better.
Yes.
I'll bring that same grill I had at the meeting at your house.
It'll cook about ten steaks at a time and probably about a thousand shrimp.
The munchies sound great!
Several of us got together and decided that you should have the honor of firing the Barrett first so put the shrimp on the grill beforehand.
"Highway 46 West
421 Range Road
New Braunfels, TX 78132".
Now I know that helps about as much as if I said, "down yonder", so let me elucidate:
Leave New Braunfels on Highway 46 going to Boerne.
About five miles out look for a sign on the left that says, "Dietz Rifle Range".
It's about a half a mile up that road.
I've never stayed in New Braunfels, but it's a get-away spot for people from Houston and San Antonio so it might be a good idea to book a room in advance.
Damn! I'm real glad you can make it!
Now help me round up the rest of these critters!
I definitely want to shoot that Barrett before someone decides that it's not something we can have. (horsefeathers!)
I've got Christine's address at home. I'll send it to you once I get off work. But let me flag them now so they know things are heading their way.
I have heard that many times and I believe. For sake of arguing with my gun control "friends"/relatives, do you (or anyone else) have a link or good source to support this statement? Need some good ammo here.
"Horsefeathers", huh??
ROTFLMAO!!!
(The giggling you hear in the background is from some of these guys who have shot the .50. I'll save some 700 grain match ammo for you.
I gotta hand it to you, Rika. You've got ba.......uh, courage!!)
Here are various links I found that mention Dianne Feinstein is one of them: 1 2 3
After looking into it some more it's possible she no longer carries a loaded handgun personally but it's certain she did at one time. I remember reading that she got a gun to protect herself after Harvey Milk and Moscone were murdered by a police officer. She realized that she couldn't always trust the police to shoot for her since they might be the ones shooting at her. Even if she no longer carries a gun she certainly does so by proxy at taxpayers expense. The rest of us must dial 911, pray the police answer, pray they show up, and pray they don't shoot us if they eventually do.
