Dianne Feinstein Introduces .50 ban in U.S. Senate

Senator Dianne Feinstein has once again introduced a Senate bill that would essentially ban 50 caliber rifles, similar to federal bans on machine guns.
Feinstein is joined by the usual cast of gun banners, including Schumer (D-NY), Lautenberg (D-NJ), Kennedy (D-MA), Corzine (D-NJ), Durbin (D-IL) and Levin (D-MI).
Feinstein's efforts seeks to scare the public with all manner of exaggerations about the rifles, including the suggestion that the guns can hit targets from 4 miles away.
Feinstein's press release announcing the bill failed to mention that these rifles have been around for nearly 20 years and have never once been used to kill a single person in the U.S. Instead, she attempts to demonize and create fear in the minds of those unfamiliar with our firearms and 50 caliber target shooting, to further her agenda of banning guns.
As credible threats to public safety, .50 caliber rifles rank tied with Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster and the Easter Bunny, all of which are tied to 0 fatalities in the U.S.
Fifty Caliber Shooters' Policy Institute will continue to aggressively oppose Senator Feinstein's attempts to demonize and ban .50 caliber rifles.

How about a ban on cars! Cars: 43,000 deaths last year alone. .50 cal: Zero deaths ever. Other than military combat that is.

I am so glad that GeeDubya is president, but that doesn't make me like ANY social programs. If our country had NO social programs, everyone would still be taken care of by their own people. The churches have been instrumental in that for 2 thousand years. Of course the liberals don't like the "if a man will not work, he cannot eat" attitude that God has.
An end to social programs would free up the individual taxpayers moneys to allow him/her to use it as he/she sees fit. Accountability would be nearly absolute!
Of course, many selfish citizens would keep all their moneys for themselves, helping no one, or very few, but as a whole, the people of this mighty nation, under God, would step up to the plate and perform.
Even the Hollywood crowd would have that many more photo-ops as they helped the needy every day.LOL!
We need to stop banning God, and start banning socialism.

Should I include that we'll be moving to AZ in '05?
Gotta admit though, you're right, living here in LA is the worst place I've ever lived. We have great friends and live well, but the place is crawling with third world overpopulation and herd animals that vote against freedom.

Ladies and gents, we have organizations in every state fighting for our Second Amendment rights.
The way to fight this creeping vermin is with your pocketbooks.
It's an investment in the future of this country.

This is a good thread to advertise the upcoming Spring Shootout of the Houston Area Texans: This will be held in New Braunfels, Texas, on May 17th at the Dietz's Rifle Range. Shooting will begin at noon.
I'll bring my arsenal shown below with plenty of ammo for everyone to shoot, and the other members of HAT will have their own arsenals.
.40 Caliber SigSauer
.223 Caliber H&K Assault Rifle
The Quigley 45.70 Sharp's Buffalo Rifle
.50 Caliber Barrett 99 Terrain Terminator
I don't think my M1A1 Abrahams is going to be in in time for the shoot, but if I can get my wife to take on a few more customers between now and then I might be able to swing an AR-15 Assault Rifle, too, to compete with Eaker's.
I have included a picture of her below.
She's running a special right now, but I don't want this post pulled so I can't tell you about it.
Drop me a note if you're interested.
When I checked out this range at New Braunfels I noticed some cows out past the 300 yard line, but to keep from having to dress and cut up the darn things if everyone that can be there would send me a note, I'll be sure to have a steak for you.
I'll have all the groceries, but if you want beer you gotta bring it.
SEE YA THERE!!

Relax a little. GWB spouts a lot of very political-comforting rhetoric when he has the chance, making the soccer moms feel good.
He KNOWS, as do you and I, that this will not see the light of day in the House. And he KNOWS, as do you and I, that the 'assault weapons' renewal will NEVER emerge from the House.
So let the Senate do what they do best: act like pompous fools.

I'm ready! They won't take our guns.... and I promise not to hit one of the cows. ;-)
COB, are we going to have a grill? I thought about making some marinated shrimp (in beer and some other stuff) and they just get thrown onto a grill for a few minutes and viola, munchies!

While you and GWB may "KNOW" these immutable truths, I have less faith in politicians than you seem to. I HOPE he doesn't plan our betrayal, but as I've said before, hope is the last refuge of the damned. We've been complacent for far too long as our elected representatives spat on us and upon the constitution. It's long past time we reminded them they work for us and hold office only at our sufferance.
If GWB betrays his base and his oath to defend the constitution, he deserves nothing but ridicule and censure. Soccer moms be damned, they and their left leaning little lambies have been pandered too for too long and have been accorded importance far beyond reason. It's not the "sucker" moms who put GW into office, it's us, conservative, gun owning, hard working, average Joes who are tired of being treated like serfs.
If President Bush forgets this ugly little truth, he deserves nothing less than to find himself bounced out of the White House. We've had enough "representation" by men who thought nothing of a lie if it forwards their agenda.
And don't give me this nonsense about how bad things will be under a demonic-rat president, should that occur and the socialists ramp up the antigun attack, it's little worse than what happening under the rule of the current administration IF GWB renews the 'assault weapons' ban.
I would dearly love to vote for GWB in the next election, I plan to do that very thing if he proves to be a man who takes his oath as President seriously and defends the constitution. Should he prove to be an oathbreatker, he gets nothing from me beyond contempt.
