"Okay I thought about it. Yes, that is what I am saying. The marriage contract gives you the right to consent. It changes a lot of things. Social Security, Tax status, retirement/death benefits. "Huh? Only married people can sign contracts, can have sex, can do all the things that have, up til now, only required one to be of legal age?
What does social security, or tax status, or retirement/death benefits have to do with sodomy? Only people in certain tax brackets are allowed to engage in sodomy? Really, what are you thinking?
Dude, I know you say you have thought about it, but jeez, perhaps you ought to give it another shot?

Yes, I know some gay people. I also know how sad they are in their dead-end lifestyle. Some people will always be gay, but I don't want to see more impressionable young people drawn into that lifestyle because the Supreme Court has elevated homosexual acts to the level of a fundamental right.
I don't want kids to be taught that homosexuality is normal. And I certainly don't want to see the situation we are now in, where even mild disapproval of the gay lifestyle is shouted down as hate and bigotry, even as gays themselves aggressively propagandize in favor of their agenda at every turn, and use government power at every opportunity to impose their will and suppress dissent.

Besides, polygamy is just an excuse for some fat 50 year old guy to invoke a weird religious pretext to have a harem. I'm sorry, but that's offensive. We preferred to be called "Prophet's of the New New Testament"

I still want to know how you'd enforce such laws without violating the 4th Amendment? The Fourth Amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
That's how.

This is the real reason.
PS; Check out the corporations that Ford is a board member of. It is just a kickback for not challenging Jimmy Carter's election frauds.

Do it just like the IRS audits people without violating the 4th amendment.

You've been on these threads for hours defending the right to sodomy? What's that about? If I were to guess, it's because you feel it might invade your freedoms. Well, sink, the gay agenda has been at war with my freedoms for a long time. That's what I am fighting. And it involves my child. I'm a mother.
DON'T MESS WITH MY CHILDI think I speak for all parents when I say that.

Time to start hitting Republican leaders. This is a core issue to a majority of Republicans. The leadership needs to hear from us that we will not look fondly upon any attempts to coerce/punish Santorum on this.
In particular, tell the "Republican Unity Coalition" to STFU.

Let's not go too far. Ford winning in 76 would have made it near impossible for Reagan to be elected four years later.

I posted a longer response and then my computer messed up. I thought those quotes pretty much summed it up and if my computer messed up again it wouldn't be as big of a deal.
I gotta go for awhile. But, basically -- being for or against sodomy is not a religious issue. But if you are going to say that I cannot have political principles based on my religion because that would be imposing my religion then I would strongly disagree. Murder and theft laws have religious roots. Both of those things happen in the animal kingdom. They are "natural." But they are morally wrong. It is irrelevant why I think they are wrong -- whether because of religion or whatever. That's not legislating religion.

And the country will go on mgetting prospering, with more and more people every day finding morality not from the government, but from the self-evident goodness of a life lived morally.

I point out your whining because I'm growing more intolerant of the seemy defense of protecting degeneracy. That better, whiner.

Therefore, the Texas law is a violation of this clause of the United States Constitution, and therefore must be struck down.
Bullcr@p. There is NO right to anal sex in the Constitution. The "equal protection" clause was never intended to protect deviant sexual practices.

Do we want her vote less because she is a lesbian?
Sure, we'll take her vote. She should leave her bedroom practices, IN THE BEDROOM. Why should we have their immorality imposed upon us?
