You can vote for up to ten nominees. We have ten awards to extend to the nominees who get the most votes (we had to draw the line somewhere -- besides, tgslTakoma bought out the crows in a number of stores and they were becoming an "Endangered Species").
Thanks for the ping -- don't forget to vote by 9 a.m. Friday.

Allright you two! Break it up, now! Mom's on the way in here, and boy is she gonna be upset with you guys. JV, pick up the goldfish bowl and get some water in it, pronto! JVb, get the goldfish out of the ashtray and back into the bowl as soon as your brother gets back with it!
JV! Don't fill it with water from the toilet!
Angelwood! They're making a HUGE mess over here!

Helen Thomas
Sen Robert Byrd
To: Angelwood
Great idea and post- thanks for compiling all the quotes.
In this order:
1) Clinton (although his remarks were not the most offensive, his status as an ex-pres elevates them to the number one position!)
2) Arnett (a very close second)
3) Moore
4) Garafalo
5) Ritter
6) Robbins
7) Sarandon
8) Galbraith
9) Rangel
10) Matthews

I agree that Eason Jordan and CNN have a lot to answer for in their decisions to appease Saddam Hussein at all costs in order to stay in Iraq and report the propaganda/spin/lies they were allowed to put over the airwaves. I wonder just how many women and children (men, too) lost their lives in the jails and torture chambers of Saddam's regime during the past 12 years that CNN decided to go along to get along and ignore reporting the truth as they knew it. I also wonder if those sons-in-law of Saddam Hussein would still be alive if they weren't lured back to Iraq and murdered -- especially since Eason Jordan was told first-hand that that would be their fate.
How can anyone trust an organization like CNN after the realization that they put their access and ratings above the well being of a nation and turned a blind (TV) eye to the rape, torture, dismemberment and murder that kept a tyrannical dictator in power.

It's hard to limit this to just 10, there are so many deserving candidates, but these are probably the most deserving:
Eason Jordan and CNN
George Galloway
Scott Ritter
Peter Arnett
Nancy Pelosi
Tom Daschle
Janeane Garofalo
Wesley Clark
Nicholas DeGenova
and last, but certainly not least,
Bill Clinton

Very well said. Is there any way we can make sure, they will be held accountable for their actions?

*Clinton #1 - Because I can't stand his arrogant puss.
*Eason Jordan &/or CNN in general
*Nancy Pelosi
(NOT Chris Matthews because he "fessed up" already)
*Peter Arnett
*Gary Camilla
*Ramsey Clark
*Scott Ritter
*Helen Thomas/Helen Thomas/Helen Thomas!!!
*Michael Moore
*Eric Alterman
(I tried to pick the ones who'll actually attend. And I figure they may well invite Michael Moore to "entertain" them since they're mostly liberal.)
You suppose Helen Thomas will attend, or will she have to retire to her bat cave when the sun goes down? Hmmmmm

Scratch Ritter.... If he tries to re-enter the U.S. he'll probably be arrested!
In that case, I have another vote open. And I cheerfully fill that void with ..... Tadaaaaa..... You guessed it.... Helen Thomas!

MIGHT BE NICE IF I POSTED THIS ON THE RIGHT THREAD...LOL!!
Here is what I wrote on the WRONG thread.. ughhh late and I'm going to bed.. before I hurt myself or something :o)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok.. but dang.. though I'd like to nominate him, I just can't bring myself to bring any more attention to that moron Michael Moore. He'd LOVE it. He is a nothing and nobody..who would LOVE to be given ANY award. Course the same could be said for Billy Clinton.. but here goes (and in no particular order):
Wesley Clark
Bill Clinton
Janeane Garafalo
Scott Ritter
David Hackworth
Eason Jordan
Susan Sarandon
Mike Farrell
Tim Robbins
Helen Thomas
To: Angelwood
Stahl: Yeah, but our, the rear is exposed. I nominate that for quote of the year.
