Halle Berry says she thinks she's 'ugly'

Halle Berry solidified her place as one of the world's sexiest women with her role as Bond girl Jinx in "Die Another Day."

But the Oscar-winning actress (Monster's Ball) says she still doesn't see herself as a beautiful star.

"To be totally honest, most of the time I think I'm ugly," she told the German magazine Journal fur die Frau. "I see myself without makeup every morning and that's why I don't have illusions anymore. I certainly don't feel like a big star."

Berry added that being black still hinders her progress in Hollywood.

"For many film studios and directors skin color remains a problem. They don't believe that the audience will accept a black actor in the main role. These narrow-minded people underestimate the public and prevent advancement in the industry."

Berry's next film will be "X-2," the sequel to "X-Men" slated for a May 2 release.

Here is my all time favorite hot looking actress (outside of Petra Verkaik to whom I have pledged my undying loyalty) that I think is even more beautiful than Halle Berry. I won't name her but I'll give you a hint. When she first went to liberal Hollywood, she was rejected for roles because, due to her refined British accent, they claimed she didn't sound "black" enough. This woman is STUNNING!

Might be a good thing for the newbie that Jael got nuked....he had to defend her on a couple of threads yesterday.

That being said, we figured out the former FReeper's modus operandi some time ago....

1. Make a comment sure to inflame someone.

2. When someone responds, twist their response to make them appear racist, unChristian, unconservative, or whatever fits the thread.

3. When the person takes offense to their response being mischaracterized, accuse them of attacking you and ping the AM.

As an example, the first 100 posts of this thread are instructive. The poster's 1st mistake there was calling Jim Robinson to defend her. Her 2nd mistake was failing to heed his warning to "become invisible".

You weren't the only one who thought it to be no better than porn - the story was passable, but the sex was gratutitous at best. It certainly did nothing to advance the storyline in any way, shape or form.

The film was definitely not her best work (Her best had to be the HBO film "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge" as far as I'm concerned). Comparing her job in "Monster's Ball" and Denzel Washington in "Training Day" were like night and day. Denzel earned his Oscar. IMO, Halle didn't earn hers.

That was an unwitting admission on your part that she was unaware of the person's race through much of the exchange, proving her comments were not racially motivated. BTW, the hair/lips/noses descriptions were black African traits. That's not a racist opinion, that's TRUTH. Even know anybody from Africa? Ever been there?
