I'm not sure this was posted, but it's exciting reading - and does prove the success of the embed program. This journalist may have saved a few American lives with his warning cry:
Embedded Journal: "I went over to the dark side."

Okay Brit is on and with the tease "There is a revolt brewing within the Republican ranks of the Senate". Anyone know anything about this?

Does everybody know that Fox is debuting a new show Monday night? The Fox broadcast channel that shows American Idol and such.
I forget the name, but the show has a pretty bachelorette and a group of men will vie for her attention. The twist here is the men wear masks so she can't see what they look like.
Sounds stupid, but get this----the hostess for this is none other than Monica Lewinsky! hahahahahahahahaha
Entertainment Tonight (OK, I watch it) has done an interview with her to promote the thing, and viewers will be reminded that Monica is NOT a rocket scientist.
LOL

Good story just now from Jennifer...
I think someone's mentoring her, helping her smooth the rough edges. Not bad...

Some in our profession might think as a reporter and non-combatant, I was there only to observe. Now that I have assisted in the deaths of three human beings in the war I was sent to cover, Im sure there are some people who will question my ethics, my objectivity, etc. Ill keep the argument short. Screw them, they werent there. But they are welcome to join me next time if they care to test their professionalism.
Please extend that invitation to one Michael Wolff. He's in dire need of a change of view.

Please extend that invitation to one Michael Wolff. Hah! Can you imagine that wankerwimp embedded with the 3rd MEU? He couldn't even handle the "over air-conditioned" CENTCOM briefings; he'd be soiling his shorts in a combat area.

I saw that....reproductions, etc. Again we can count on the Wanker press to try and fit a story into their agenda.

There's a Royal Marine on Fox named Captain Sargent.
Just struck me funny, is all.

They say there's a limit agreement attached (verbally I believe) to the budget that just passed.
The original summary of the $726 cut by Greenspan said:
1. The dividend bit was good for everyone.
2. Deficients aren't bad if kept to 3% but budget would come in at 4%.
3. The economy was in good condition. It's the unknown that is the problem.
As a footnote, here in the NE, where we had a real tough winter and many of us didn't shop unnecessarily. It was just too difficult to get around and too cold.
I do believe that we probably bought more food items for storage. (I've eaten most of those "easy make foods" because of FR).
Now that spring is beginning, I think we'll get in gear and engage in our usual shopping.
I also believe that people are trying to pay down their debts.

I think it's best to "smack" 'em and then ignore 'em until they pop up again...spotlight the good guys, instead. The anti-Bush wankers like Wolffe have far too much access to the mainstream soapbox as it is.

There's a Royal Marine on Fox named Captain Sargent. I vowed to watch Brit, then got called away and missed this. Puts me in mind of Major Major in Catch 22.
Did Brit already discuss the museum and real or reproductions, then? From comments it looks like he did. Shep was saying earlier that the reproduction story was the wrong one, and the artifacts left had been real---but I felt Shep was jumping the gun, especially when I saw the line he used about "we protected oil but not artifacts" came directly from the Kurtz column quoting some talking points.
