He will probably go back to the segment with the "expert" he had on this subject. I think 'ole Shep needs a freepin'!I saw that too. I call for an immediate freepation of Shepard Smith.

"I have suspected this will be a "collateral benefit" of the BASH, but this is the first article I've seen addressing this directly."
We need to work on finding more positive articles. The liberals will spin everything back down to doom and gloom if we slack up!

I heard Dennis Miller comment on Bob "Trust In America" Hope's 100 birthday celebration, which he was not well enough to attend
Dennis said he knew Bob wouldn't be there if he was well, because he'd be in Iraq with the men and women of the armed services.....
It was a very nice thing to say, very true, and made me feel that maybe, just maybe, Dennis will be the one to take that mantle up: our generation's Bob Hope....
and that's no little thing....

I'm curious what songs y'all will always associate with this time in our history? Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 ("From The New World")
Tom Petty's "Won't Back Down"
Rachmaninoff's 2nd Concerto
Daryl Worley's "Have You Forgotten"
Tchaikovsky's 1st Concerto
Rachel Loy's "The Same Man"
John Rutter's "Requiem" and "Magnificat"
Clint Black's "Iraq and Roll"
How's that for a mix? I know, I'm wierd... I've had them alternating, too loud, 18x7 for the last month.

"the Wash. Post. said "War may last into Summer". OH DEAR! No! Not that! Not summer!"
Don't you know the liberals are in a hurry to talk about the economy and all their little programs. They hate it when they can't be front and center.

I have been assigning the "keyword" "collateral benefits" to articles which I've seen dealing with the "good" fallout of this war. Search and see what I've tagged that way. Add to it as you see fit.

Just now reading your link about clinton denigrating U.S. policy.
As always, he's whipping up discord wherever he goes, stirring the pot constantly.
Sickening to behold.
He really hates GWB, doesn't he.

Rush is a known FReeper, but I suspect he doesn't post.
When the Kennedy plane crash happened in '99, recall the crazy controversy and conspiracies? I posted an article, "178 Seconds to Live", which I had to dig out of my usenet articles from 6 years earlier. It brilliantly describes what I believed had happened: a "graveyard spiral" (and was subsequently considered the cause). The next day, Rush led off his show by reading the whole article on air, including the changes to the original I had made to help non-aviation buffs comprehend certain things better. There is no doubt he got it from FreeRepublic (or his staff did).
Whatever, don't rib him about it: help him in getting the word out, by posting items and comments of relevance.

There's an older Dolly Parton song that I keep thinking of...There's a line in the version I have that says something like, "I've been like a captured eagle", but the lyrics I found online are a little different.
I Can See The Light of a Clear Blue Morning
By: Dolly Parton
It's been a long dark night
And I've been a waitin' for the morning
It's been a long hard fight
But I see a brand new day a dawning
I've been looking for the sunshine
'Cause I ain't seen it in so long
But everything's gonna work out just fine
Everything's gonna be all right
That's been all wrong
'Cause I can see the light of a clear blue morning
I can see the light of a brand new day
I can see the light of a clear blue morning
And everything's gonna be all right
It's gonna be okay
It's been a long long time
Since I've known the taste of freedom
And those clinging vines
That had me bound, well I don't need 'em
'Cause I am strong and I can prove it
And I got my dreams to see me through
It's just a mountain, I can move it
And with faith enough there's nothing I can't do
And I can see the light of a clear blue morning
And I can see the light of brand new day
I can see the light of a clear blue morning
And everything's gonna be all right
It's gonna be okay

I agree, as much of a kick as I get out of B-Bob, I have to constantly remind myself that he's a bad guy, a truly evil sidekick to SH.I agree. I do not think he is naive, but the lies deliberate.
As to music----"Proud to be an American" has run through my head many times, but you know I watch American Idol. Still, good for them to cover that song.

I just sent an email to Shep. I can't believe he was saying that about our soldiers. That they should have done more to protect the museum, after all, they protected the oil!!! It really pi$$ed me off.Good for your note. I missed tv coverage of anything for awhile, so missed David Bloom's funeral coverage, too, and I am sorry about that.
I did see Shep promo the topics he'd be covering and when he spoke of the looting, on screen the words said something about the items from the museum possibly being fake, but his words said that reports said they might be fake, but new evidence shows they were real and destroyed. I did want to hear about that but missed it. He also framed it as you say--about "we protected the oil, but not the artifacts".
Shep can be way off base at times, and he is prone to accept certain talking points at first blush before getting all of the facts. Whether that is the case here remains to be seen, I guess.
