Brian: Greg is fine. He's tired and needed a couple of days to rest.

I'm personally ENJOYING watching Robbins. He's desperate. Doesn't anyone else see that? His ideology is coming down in flames around him. He looked unkempt (and not "chic" unkempt), he looked authentically pissed, he looked & sounded authentically confused -- *good*. It's just going to get worse for him, too. America loves a winner, and we just won big. Even Hollywood. *Even* Hollywood. It's too American for even them to deny. Americans play to win. ;-)

Maybe this is part of a plan to psyche out Scott.

You got me for a minute there (my first name :-).

But yes, you're almost certainly right. The guy on the mic emphatically stated, several times, that _he_ didn't know where Scott P. was, and wouldn't say if he did; IOW, no one had mentioned it to him in the last 15 minutes. You know they're keeping close tabs on him, though.

I didn't mean to dig them so hard; the presser could have been handled better, but they're doing their jobs, and bugging him is part of it. You can bet he's sweating snot right now...

But you forget, Six Feet Under is about a "dysfunctional family" from "the midwest" and has a gay characters.

That alone is enough for the idiot left to give cheap awards to the boring show.

Did anybody hear a report on why Chirac called Bush today? Fox said they were going to cover it but I missed it.

I'm imagining it had something to do with the "vital" role of the UN? Or, rather, perhaps:

Chirac: Please, oh, please, please, please let me have a slice of the pie...
Bush: No, Jacques, that's a bad Jacques, that's my Iraq pie, JACQUES, BAD JACQUES, PUT YOUR OILY HANDS DOWN, THAT IS MAH IRAQ PIE!

Or, perhaps Chirac just cried and Bush laughed. Or...perhaps Chirac feared, and Bush loathed? ;-)

(I read the reason for the meeting earlier, I'll post a link in a second :p)

"Baseball is public" is certainly a left wing canard, but since it is run by Stalinists, I can not say they do not deserve the left trying to take over their sport. I was a big MLB fan until they ordered Rocker to mental health specialists. Now Rocker had silly isolationist views but heck he was a young inexperienced man, but millions voted Buchannan with similar views. But it is Stalinist order someone who disagree with you to the mental ward.

And really the game of Apple Pie, Motherhood and Chevy really does not belong honoring anti-family couple of the unmarried Sarandon and Robbins. Baseball should remember its roots of parents playing catch with their children and get back in touch with Americans.

I think you summed it up very nicely. We are winning the war on the homefront and he is one of the early casualties!

Keep at them. They are not used to taking it...only dishing it out.

Ah, but the fun was in the email.

Besides, it gives me a good excuse to duck out and let my wife win the argument, without my actually losing the argument -- she didn't want to spend the money, and I've been feeling a little bad about insisting...

Robbins is showing himself for the fool he is. I've watched the FNC clip several times, and really enjoyed it. He's definitely in Meltdown Mode. I'd hate to be in the house with him tonight (but I'd love a HouseCam of him and Sarandon!).

Well, at this point in time, it's unfortunately becoming true for baseball that any publicity is good publicity.

I agree though, silly run monopolies that get away with using tax dollars to subsidized them. Like Opera. And football.

The left is turning sports into a feel good venture that soon will stop keeping score. And it's given us dozens of wonderful, mediocre teams.

Dismay as US ups pressure on Damascus

PARIS -- World leaders and press reacted with a mixture of caution and dismay yesterday to the United States' escalating threats to Syria, which it accuses of harbouring Iraqi leaders and chemical weapons.

Chirac attempts to build bridges

FRASER NELSON

JACQUES Chirac made the first move towards rapprochement with the United States last night, promising to be "pragmatic" in helping George Bush, the US president, build a post-war regime for Iraq.

The French president yesterday telephoned Mr Bush for the first time since well before the war in Iraq in tacit acceptance that he has lost his battle to have the United Nations lead the reconstruction effort.

The conversation came as Jay Garner, the retired US general leading the interim administration, met Iraqi opposition leaders to take the first steps to democracy - against a backdrop of boycotts and protests.

In his talks with Mr Bush, Mr Chirac offered to "act pragmatically and case by case" on issues such as disarmament, administration, oil resources - and reconstruction.

Just like Tim Robbins today and his diatribe, the left only thinks they, and they alone, have the right of free speech.

Don't tell me you're just discovering this. :-)

BTW, Laurie is hot, but her mouth is odd-shaped. My #1 infobabe is Lauren Greene...followed by Kiran Chetry (sp?)...WOW. I mean, those two, especially Lauren, wow. Then again, I'm attracted to really brain women, and Lauren is really brainy (plus someone told me she's an incredible pianist).

Laugh at the cultural elitist (Hollywood) left. It drives them nuts. But they LIKE it when they get under your skin like this. Which is why I keep trying to inject notes of levity. I can tell you from personal experience that the one thing these people cannot stand -- more than being ignored or hated or losing sales (which they can afford, and heck, they almost like the bad PR, see Garofalo's comment) -- is being debunked in a joyous, gleeful, HAPPY manner. Laugh at them. THAT is what they can't stand.

So, let me start: Tim Robbins thinks he knows...what to do...better than...the administration? Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! What an IDIOT!

Now, let's see, what are Robbin's last movies...The Truth About Charlie -- never heard of it... -- Human Nature -- never heard of it.. -- AntiTrust...never heard of it -- oh, okay, High Fidelity in 2000. So it looks like Robbins hasn't done a heck of a lot for...um...3 years? Mystic River is in post-production, hmm, I wonder if this has anything to do with him getting himself in the public spotlight again?

Never (mis)underestimate these people's NEED to be in the spotlight (hence my reluctance to let them make people so angry, because that makes them pat themselves on the back and say, "Well done, Comrade!")
