Janeane Garofalo: 'I Have Nothing to Apologize For'

It looks like outspoken Iraq war critic Janeane Garofalo won't be honoring her pledge to apologize to President Bush anytime soon.
"I have nothing to apologize for," she told WABC Radio's Steve Malzberg, who requested an interview with the comedienne-turned-peacenik for his Sunday morning broadcast.
Malzberg tells NewsMax that instead of agreeing to the interview request, Garofalo boasted that her upcoming TV show on ABC is going forward despite a tidal wave of complaints received by the network.
"Boycotters are welcome to keep giving me tons of publicity," she dared before reiterating, "There will be no apologies."
Just five weeks ago, when Garofalo appeared on Fox News Channel's "The Pulse," host Bill O'Reilly asked what she would do if her predictions that the war would be a disaster turned out to be wrong. The contrite-sounding comic promised:
"I would be so willing to say I'm sorry, I hope to God that I can be made a buffoon of, that people will say you were wrong, you were a fatalist, and I will go to the White House on my knees on cut glass and say, hey, you were right, I shouldn't have doubted you."
Listen to WABC Radio's Steve Malzberg, Sundays, 9 a.m. to 12 noon ET, weeknights, 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. ET. To have Malzberg's exclusive NewsMax column emailed directly to you, go to www.newsmax.com/malzberg.

Time will tell. I'll bet it will be pulled after no more than 3 weeks. Networks can't afford to back losers too long.Remember: This is an interview where she's overtly lying in her main point ("I have nothing to apologize for.") So why should we believe her when she says her TV show is going forward? I'll believe it when ABC says so.

I actually used to enjoy her acting, she reminded me of a friend of mine and I thought she was funny. But I carry a grudge forever and now I can't stand to look at her. It's not even that I think I can hurt her just boycotting her all by myself, I don't. I just... don't.... want to see her anymore. I can't suspend disbelief and pretend she really is whoever she's playing in this or that particular movie. I know her real deal now and it just repulses me.

Seems she's worried about cutting her knees. Can you blame her? The most basic right we have as Americans is the right to earn a living in our chosen professions.

Her "need" to apologize depends on the definition of the word "wrong." And, surprise, she does not define her recently-disproven predictions as evidence of her being "wrong."
And THAT, ladies and germs, is Bill Clinton's true "legacy."

To paraphrase Jennifer and Oliver ("

I never found her funny,I never knew who she was untill she got in the press on her hate Bush jihad, so I can't comment on her comic talents prior to that. She does make me LOL every time she opens her mouth now though.
