Interesting live footage on CNN

Posted on 04/12/2003 9:27:32 PM PDT by saquin

CNN reporter Brent Sadler traveling on a road very near Tikrit. The retired military officer in the studio keeps telling him to be careful. I find these live shots very nerve-wracking. It seems rather foolish for a reporter to be doing this, considering that Tikrit is a Saddam stronghold. Just a heads-up in case anyone is interested.

LOL. But it's no laughing matter. Have you ever heard a bunch of supposedly "smart" reporters ask some of the dumbest questions .... especially those that have nothing to do with war. It's like their heads are void of any intellect. Where did they get educated? Who hired them to ask these dumbass questions?

And Torie. Pentagon just made a statement on the incident: "It is still incredibly dangerous to be a unilateral journalist..."

They're desperate.

I was pacing the floor - couldn't even sit down for heaven's sake! A little levity is good now.

CNN declares war on Iraq. Ted Turner's yacht is now navy flagship. Jane Fonda to man AA battery (and firing at our side, of course).

And it ends with CNN going down in flames. B1, B2 or my personal favorite A10?

Yes, my blood pressure was up....my stomache in knots....and the humor was needed after the episode appeared over...although, we truly do not know what is going on right now.

Musta been Special Ops...

Had it been Special Ops, CNN would already be notifying the families.

Levity, humor, is a necessary coping mechanism!

The allowable options for journalists are to go in unarmed or not go in. That's their rules, not mine.
I hope the reason they are off the air is because CNN has realized how badly they have screwed up by revealing the fact that they sent an armed convoy into a battle zone with "PRESS" markings, and not because they are all dead.

By the way, the reason they couldn't stop at the Governor's office is because they would have been subject to summary execution as armed combatants out of uniform. And those executions just might have been legal.
